“I had an outstanding experience with Alex at National Car Rental in the Sarasota–Bradenton Airport. From the moment I arrived, he was professional, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure I had the best vehicle for my trip. He took the time to explain my options, answered my questions, and made sure I was comfortable with the vehicle I would be driving.
What impressed me most was his attitude. Even though it was late in the day, Alex was upbeat, funny, and provided exceptional customer service without making me feel rushed. It’s rare to encounter someone who clearly takes so much pride in their work and treats customers with such care and professionalism.
Employees like Alex are the reason customers return. National should be proud to have him representing their company. He absolutely deserves recognition for his efforts—and if anyone has earned praise and a raise, it’s Alex. Thank you for making a long travel day end on such a positive note!

“Rented a compact but they were out so the guy at the desk gave us a beautiful full size sedan with all the perks for the same price and the car smelled brand new evrything was spotless. We cruised around for a week with zero problems gas milage was great and returnin it took seconds the attendent just waved us off with a big smile realy impressed with the whole expereince.”

“Family owned business. Nice cars at a very reasonable price. The cars are not as new as the big rental companies but are in pristine condition at about half the price.
I rented a year old Kia that ran perfectly and got good gas mileage.

“This guys is very very easy going on compromise, we have been late 30 minutes after close hours because there was tropical rain, and they were waiting for us outside. Moreover, they gave us extra hours again because of tropical rain storms and so we gave enough time for riding slingshot.”

We ended up booking two separate reservations back to back (reserved at different times), and they made it easy to let us keep the same car across the whole reservation. Car was very clean at the time of rental, ready to drive. I reccomend this shop or it's Hertz counterpart if you are renting in the SRQ area.”

“I recently rented from Payless because they were cheaper than other options. All in all my experience was very good. The wait in line to get the rental was around 10 minutes or so, but it was 10:00pm and there was only one person at the counter which is not odd for the cheaper companies. The car itself was from Canada and was pretty rough on the outside, scratches and stuff. I was sure to take photos of the car before I left just in case, as I would do with any rental company. The inside however was nice and clean, no floor mats though. The return was easy and the staff was very friendly. I see many negative reviews and I’m not saying they are not accurate. People have different experiences with companies but I fortunately had a good experience with Payless. I would use this use the company again.”

“I must say that the guy I got the rental car from when I first arrived was rude and not a good representation of budget, all the way to complaining about the company’s “corporate greed”. As the face of the company, he was one of the worst ambassadors. Older gentleman with a bracelet on.
The car was super clean. Upon return, the woman I spoke with in the parking lot (middle aged) was extremely friendly. I wish I had gotten her name, but I didn’t. She was super nice and friendly, even called me by my name when telling me to have a great day! She took a pretty crappy experience and made it a super positive one, thus the rating! She should get a raise!!!”
