Most importantly, the performance has been excellent and beyond my expectations, but on top of that, it’s just been a real pleasure to work with them. I’ve always gotten an answer whenever I called, and over time I’ve just felt safer and more comfortable. When you’re talking about money that you’ve worked hard for, it’s tough to put a price tag on that.
I would highly recommend this company. There’s no question that they truly care about their clients, and they are fiduciaries, so there are no outside interests, conflicts of interest, or anything like that. Over the past 35 years of investing with various brokerage firms, the Fidelity on-line website has been great. The app is very good as well, but not perfect.
If I need to speak with a customer service agent at the 800 number, I usually don't have to wait very long. They have been very helpful and friendly.
The only error that I have encountered was when we requested a 42(t), 5 year withdrawal for $100,000/year, someone put $100/year instead. That's a big mistake, taking almost 2 hours on the phone to correct. That makes me a little uneasy about the firm.
As long as it doesn't happen again, I'll stay with Fidelity.”
