“I have a couple fans in my screened in patio. We live right near the Gulf. The pull chain had gotten very rusty and I was concerned that it would snap soon. I had my Handyman install a new switch and chain. The problem was now when you pull the chain, it would not go FAST, MEDIUM, SLOW and OFF, as it should.. It now went FAST, OFF, MEDIUM, OFF, SLOW and OFF.... LOL! Sal told me it was the wrong switch!

I took a picture of the correct switch that was in the other fan. When I took it to Dan's Fan City, I was greeted by Sal, who said you look like you need some help.. I did. I showed Sal the picture of the correct switch I had and he called out the part # just by looking at it and said that he had that switch in stock.

I bought the switch and he told me exactly how to install it. He gave me his card and said if I had any problem to give him a call.

I was having trouble at home inserting the 4 wires into their respective holes, so I called Sal. He told me the Paper Clip trick and that helped me to finish the job!

My grandmother often sends me here for things that are heavy or awkward and employees always come right to my aid and offer assistance without being asked. Today, I needed an item that I was struggling to find. After asking someone for help, they also struggled to find what I was after. He asked where I was headed next and then offered to continue looking and come find me in the paint department if he found it. Sure enough, just as my paint was ready to go, he approached me with the item I needed. My grandmother says she prefers to come here rather than the Lowe's, which is closer to her, purely because they are so nice and helpful to her when she has to shop there on her own. I really appreciate knowing she has stores she can shop that treat her well when I'm not here to help her.”

“Love my Home Depot in Seminole, FL! Came out to a flat tire as an associate was bringing a cart back after helping a customer. He asked if I needed help and immediately started towards my trunk. Well, as we talked it was the Store Manager, Joe. We could not break the lug nuts so he had Jacob go to plumbing and grab a steel pipe we could use for leverage. Tracy, the store supervisor was near by helping others while Joe assisted me. It was an awesome team effort!
