“Avis contacted me and refunded the amount they overcharged and apologized for the other inconveniences reported, which is why I changed my rating regarding this service. My experience renting a car with Avis was not the best. Firstly, I was at the store to pick up a car and I would have an upgrade because there wasn't a car in my category in the store, but another attendant arrived when I was signing the contract and tore up the contract and gave me the car in my category, then that the other attendant had already mentioned the upgrade. I was excited and then upset. And when returning the car, they charged me an extra daily fee claiming that I had returned it the other day and this was completely absurd, as I returned it on the scheduled day and time. Customer service discounted part of the charge but still charged me for late delivery, even though I was not late. I do not intend to rent with Avis again as I cannot trust this company.”

“Car rental located inside the hotel. Staff is very friendly. We went ahead and paid for the tolls at $12 a day, no bad if you plan on traveling on the freeways. We went to Cocoa Beach with ease in a Malibu for 3 people.”

“Specifically wanted a 7 seater, Website shows a Dodge Durango (or similar). Rented for the day for $100, Got the car no issue, noticed 3 rows of seats, thinking "great, it's the 7 seater", drove a few miles to our hotel to later find there's 3 rows of 2 seats. One of our party got left behind. Excuse was "it's the hemi package". My reply "mate I didn't order a hemi, I ordered a 7 seater". Got $20 compensation.”
“I needed assistance from the agency of this hotel because I had reserved my car AVIS 30min walk from this agency and I wanted to know if it was possible to change. The person (I don't have the name of the lady who received me) was really helpful and did everything she could to help me as it was an agency from another "district". Unfortunately it didn't work out, but I would like to thank her again for the TOP service she gave me (visit on Thursday morning, September 21).In the end it wasn't too bad, because after a short walk I was able to get the car I'd chosen in the UNIVERSAL "Hilton" hotel, with very good service too!”

After getting the run around with roadside assistance, Jason was able to locate a battery for my fob and got me back on the road. He was very professional and helpful.”

“When I first arrived at the Universal’s Dockside Resort, I scoffed a bit thinking, “Who would need a rental car after they already got to the hotel?” Well, turns out me.Due to unforeseen weather circumstances, we had a sudden change of plans, and having an Avis rental site on the property turned out to be a remarkable convenience. Kirsten, who was the only person working the counter at the time, takes an obvious pride in her work, and works hard to provide a good customer experience. Since I was a walk up, my rental process took a little longer than normal. She had two scheduled appointments during the time we were talking that she honored and took care of efficiently. When she could fully dedicate her attention to me, she personally walked me out to my car to show me where it was parked, and to see if it met my hopes for the day. After that, we walked back to the desk to finish up the paperwork. Including the two “interruptions”, the whole process took a little less than an hour.The car was clean and well-maintained. It was an EV vehicle and operated perfectly. So nice to not have to worry about filling it up with gas before bringing it back. Since I returned the car after the Avis desk hours, I simply dropped the key with one of the resort front desk staff. Check-in was completed the following morning and I received my final receipt which matched what was originally quoted.I have personally had some really bad car rental experiences in the recent past, so I can appreciate what some of the other reviewers here have said. My experience happened to be excellent. Kirsten did seem to have to struggle with Avis computer systems quite a bit on a number occasions. (Additionally, I had to call the following day to make sure the check-in process has been completed as I have not received the final receipt. Again, Kirsten answered the telephone and within a couple minutes I had my email receipt.) It’s not her fault, I’m guessing it’s something with Avis systemically. I hope the Avis higher-ups can see this, and the frustrations stated elsewhere this page, and get that figured out, because you’ve got some really good people working behind the counter who deserve better support.”

I ordered a rental car through Enterprise in Clermont weeks ago, showed up today - no car and no help. Walked into the Hertz location and was greeted instantly by Jacob who not only had a car but the car I needed! Lutz processed the paperwork and I was out of the office, with a car in less than a half hour. Jacob and Lutz, THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE DAY - We will DEFINITELY be using this location for our rental needs going forward!!”

The rental station is a bit hard to find, it’s on the backside of the Hilton hotel… better to access via the parking garage on the Tradeshow blvd.
Rental office is also located in the building few stairs up, and just besides the parking garage. It’s also a bit hard to find, as there are no clear signs.
Anyways, once identified, it was quite smooth.”
