“So this place has better biscuits than the bread basket in Athens. I know I hate to say it but there it is. I can't speak for their lunch but their biscuits are fluffier and lighter. They aren't dry and don't crumble everywhere while you're driving. They should be given some type of best biscuit award by governor kemp.”
“It has changed somewhat since Jim & Rachel Austin, (aka .. Austins Grocery). Been going in and that front door for 55 years, use to ride my bicycle up there when I was a kid, get ran over by these idiots on the highway now days. Still a great store, new owners are great, great selection of different products. When Jim and Rachel run it, they had clothing, hardware, plumbing, all kinds of stuff. Of course, that was then, this is now ?”

“I live right next to this gas station and if you're looking for pipes or Vapes, kratom and all that extra fun stuff they have a huge selection, I mean it's not half the gas station worth of that stuff but they have a pretty decent wall of stuff, whatever you need that's legal more than likely they will have it LOL.”

“It’s like a walking into a friends home- when they smile and wave and ask how you are doing and call you by your name- it’s nice to have people all over and in different Areas and from different walks of life- first of all it gives you comfort and makes you feel welcome- and they’re ALL very nice and polite to me- Always have been!! It’s a great store to have in walking distance if I ever needed to get to a store and didn’t have my vehicle too! Love them guys!”

I came in one time needing some cream of chicken but started to leave when I couldn't find any, one of the guys stopped what he was doing to come and help me look. “Its not often that brand spanking new convenience stores pop up and this is almost state-of-the-art. Good layout inside the store. Very bright and well-lit. Clean as any store could ever be. Fully stocked with all the usual, expected items. Coffee, fountain machines, chicken restaurant inside, vape products + tobacco and related accessories. Great location too. Hope it does well and stays as nice as it is.??”

“I guess I picked a good day to try a counter service biscuit. Last time I got a grab-n-go premade biscuit and it was just ok, but a coworker told me I should order at the counter. I asked the worker what I need to order today, and he (David) asked what looked good in front of me right now and what I normally order elsewhere. Then he said oh I got you, you’re gonna like this! He made a fried pork loin (what I pointed at) biscuit with bacon egg, cheese, and a little bit of gravy on it! He said “this one is a masterpiece, you’ll be back tomorrow.” It was really good! I just might be back tomorrow, if I can work off those calories. Thanks David! A little charm and pride in your work are rare and not expected in food service these days.”

“I was in need of a Braider like ASAP and I got the contact information for this shop from a girl at T.J.MAXX! So glad I found it. Other than the fact that Saturday mornings are incredibly busy and a few braiders were late so I had to wait long this is your solution for quick braids at a reasonable price in Athens,GA. All the IG girls are just doing to much “$50 deposit and it not included in the prices of style”. Girl bye LOL. I’m going back my original days of going to the African Aunties who charge well and supply the hair. Overall good experience. I really hope they put it in Google so it’s more well known! Ms. Flora did my hair and she did a great job!”

“Love this store. It's classy, great coffee. They have junk food, health food, bakery stuff. The staff are so friendly, I stop there frequently for the coffee. They sell beer and wine, and gift-shop type stuff. Cool concept, a Golden Pantry with no gas pumps.”
“Been parking here on & off for 3 years for the weekends, on average I spend $40. Close to home, never really packed. Gravel- $10/ 12hrs , Pavement- $15 / 12 hrs. Restroom is alright, haven’t checked out the laundry or showers. Better here than Loves or TA down the road”

“There was a mix up with my son’s insulin prescription at another CVS location, I didn’t realize they had given him the vials of insulin instead of the insulin pens that he was prescribed until I had already gotten home. I live about 40 mins away from that location and didn’t have a way to get back, so I called my usual location, in Commerce, to inquire about regular insulin needles. Memphis was very apologetic about the mix up, he told me to come to the pharmacy and he would get the needles my son needed. When I got there, he apologized again, he had the needles waiting for me when I got there. He took extra time to explain everything and teach me how to administer the insulin. His product knowledge was great! He has an outstanding attitude, he was so polite, professional, and personable. I cannot say enough good things about him. Sadly, it’s not as common to receive great customer service these days, so it’s very refreshing when you do. I appreciate him for not only his superb customer service, but for him helping make it possible for my son to get the insulin he needed. A big big THANK YOU to Memphis!!!!!!”

“January 2017 - they sell Creature Comforts Tropicalia IPA Driving back to Charlotte on Thursday from a work trip to Atlanta I diverted off of I-85 for ten minutes to grab a few six-packs of this in-demand IPA from the Athens standout brewery. I called the liquor store next door on the chance that they might sell it and the kind woman who answered the phone said the gas station next door had just received a shipment this morning. The man at the counter said their supply is limited, but I was happy to get lucky to bring back three six-packs for friends back home. Cheers to a good spot for specific local craft beer. They seemed to have all the other things you would expect in a convenience store and a reasonable price on gas. Worth the quick detour, maybe just call ahead to make sure what they have in stock. Thanks!”
