“Friendly and helpful staff. What you expect from a local hardware store. Feels like a family owned shop. Pricing is fair and location is great for the overall Mt. Vernon/Chamblee Dunwoody area. I'm grateful for the convenience of the store. Almost everything you'd want and expect from a traditional hardware store. Ace products are of excellent quality along with the many higher quality manufacturers and suppliers they carry and represent.”

“I recently moved into the area and this Ave is conveniently right down the street. I’ve always been a Lowe’s and Home Depot guy, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was blown away. In this day and age, it’s so hard to find good customer service, let alone going above and beyond, and that’s exactly what you get from Coco and his team. I went there for parts on a DIY project and Coco ended up walking me through the entire project step by step. He has a lot of patience and was very professional and informative. They have a loyal customer for life with me!”

“I was there just after opening and bought keys, a level, thermostat etc and spent around four hundred dollars. The young man who kind of fetched all but the thermostat did not seem very cheerful about helping an old lady with a rod in her leg and three bad disks finish her list of items, but when I was in my twenties I wasn't at my best in the morning either. Love Ace hardware, sorry you don't live your job Sonny.”

I normally go to Home Depot, but came here because we found several SW-specific colors we liked (& because the team doing our painting prefers SW) Not only was the guy working here super nice and friendly, he rushed mixing some paint samples for me because I had sleeping babies in the car. I sat outside until he waved to me. I've gone back to this location several times over the years and they never disappoint.”
“The Howell Mill store in Atlanta was staffed by one very kind and professional young man last Sunday October 22nd. He took the time to figure out what color I was talking about by researching all my past samples and then mixed it. I went in the store less than 2 minutes before closing and this is what makes my experience there so memorable. I was never rushed or felt like I was keeping him from closing on time.”

I was trying to match 2 pantone colors to paint, which is always a challenge. Victoria worked with me to get them as close as possible and was not phased by the challenge. I did not have the name of the paint color but I had the color match information. She was able to color match the paint that I needed within seconds. While she was getting my paint two other employees greeted me as well. All of the employees were friendly and outgoing. The store was clean and neat. I had a great experience.”
