1034 Young Harris Hwy, BlairsvilleI took my Yorkie puppy for her first groom today. Jaden was super sweet from start to finish and did a fantastic job on my puppy’s groom. Jessie is the owner and operator who still is there, and Jaden is her daughter. I like that it is family owned and operated, and it has been at the same location for 25 years! The facility is clean and well kept, the staff is friendly, they are easy to get in touch with, got me in for an appointment same week of my call, and the price was reasonable. Lucy was calm and excited to see me to show off her “spa do”. Lucy and I look forward to future grooms with Jaden. I made my next appointment and have already recommended Jessie’s Pooch Parlor to friends!

924 Trackrock Church Rd, BlairsvilleUsed their boarding services while I was in town. The owner is such a kind person and my dogs can be particular with people. My dogs went right up to her when they arrived. As soon as you meet her, you know she’s a pet person! She took great care of my dogs and I’m so glad I found her company. It really lives up to the name! I plan to use their services again when I’m in town.

Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital
1885 Pat Colwell Rd, BlairsvilleWe have been using Nottley Oaks Animal Hospital for years. Back in 2018, they helped us put down our 17 year old dog who was not even an established patient of theirs. He was in distress and suffering. We called his primary vet and they couldn’t even get him in to lay him to rest and end his suffering. Nottley Oaks staff were so compassionate in walking us through the process of putting him down. They lit a lantern in memory of him and even sent a card with their condolences from the staff a week later. We’ve been taking our two dogs there ever since. Each vet who has laid hands on our dogs has done a wonderful job of using a “fear free” approach and helping the animals be comfortable before examination or treatment. We recently found out our 9 year old dog has lymphoma. The vet was so compassionate with us and helping us create a treatment plan to give her the “best last days”. They did not even charge us for one month recheck to post cancer diagnosis to make sure she’s not losing too much weight or suffering. They even offered to come to our home and put her down there when it is time. Every vet, tech and office staff member are so kind and truly passionate about what they do. I am incredibly grateful for this local vet and the respect & compassion they show animals and their owners ❤️

637 Odom Rd, BlairsvilleSmall and family owned! Great covered but open patio. All their grapes are estate grown. Perfect place for enjoying your wine and atmosphere alone or your favorite person. They also have a covered pavilion by the pond for group event.
Will make this a regular visit when in the area.

In terms of price to taste ratio this might be the single best food I have ever had in my entire life. No joke. I can’t recommend this place enough. It almost changed my life in one bite.

Four of us had 3 separate entrees (2 people ordered the same entree) and all were excellent. Our waitress Jessica definitely set the bar for anticipating every need. She delivered truly exceptional service with a smile. It is an intimate setting reminiscent of Italian cafes. We will definitely be back, again and again. Well done Michael Lee’s.

I have to update this and I hate to but this is the most inconsistent restaurant in Blairsville. We ate there over Christmas, promising the family, “you’ll love it.” Mostly not edible. Sorry, whatever they’re doing to the butternut squash, they need to stop. And, the rest of the food needs to be improved, too. Will try again in a few months and hope they have found a fix. Would love to give them a stellar review.

Mountain Shelter Humane Society
129 Bowling Gap Cir, BlairsvilleMountain Shelter Humane Society was amazing. I found a dog that was on a mountain rd and I checked with all the neighbors and nobody knew who the dog belonged to. I posted notices around town, and with online pet finders. I was traveling so I couldn't take a dog across the country, and it broke my heart because she was such a sweet dog. I called Mountain Shelter and they were very kind and opened their doors to KIA. I couldn't believe how well taken care of the facility was, and how much they cared for KIA. I am forever grateful to them and I hope that KIA found a phenomenal forever home.
