“Dollar General Statham is an Essential part of Statham. This store has helped many people who otherwise can't get into Athens or Winder for Shopping. Elderly, those without transportation. It carries most everything a large store has just a smaller more convenient shopping experience. I am glad they are a part of Statham business.”
“Packed store with a tight parking lot, but I found a lot of items that I wanted to try. Also loved the variety of items, and some of the pricing. Loved how colorful the store was also.”
“I feel like this location and most others I have been to has been clean and well stocked. This time slightly less stocked, but I had no problem finding what I was looking for. The friendly staff, always, says hello or good bye when I am coming or going and they are always willing to help if I am unable to locate an item in the store. I, personally, love our neighborhood Publix!”
“Y'all need more cashiers. There was only one cashier and they were having to keep an eye on 4 self check outs AND run a traditional register. That's how you get high turnover. Management needs to kick in and help out.”
“I want to give a huge shoutout to Joey and Lucy!! ! My husband just started shopping for Instacart and was still learning the ropes. He got a large order right before closing and was feeling really stressed trying to find everything in a store he’d never been to before. Joey noticed he was struggling and went above and beyond to help — he guided him through the aisles, helped him find every item, and even stayed a little late to make sure the order was complete. Lucy helped with the check out process, and was so kind and helpful also! They turned what could’ve been a really stressful situation into such a positive experience. I was in today getting last minute supplies for one of my daughter's birthdays, and running so far behind trying to get the house looking great for her to wake up to. The staff gladly filled balloons for me, something I was dreading at 9:30 at night. Those 5 minutes helped me so much. “I’ve chose Walmart Marketplace for all my prescription needs because it’s the absolute best pharmacy I’ve come across in Athens. The personal assistance I get from this location is absolutely superb. I recently received a statin medicine from my doctor that had me very frightened out of my mind. The pharmacist, Laura, took a great deal of time to help me understand the drug and how it works in the body. I had many concerns about statins (as do others that I know). I learned, in great detail, how statins work in the body, and many things I thought in my uneducated mind were completely wrong. Laura cared enough to teach me on my level, and my fears were alleviated by her kind and informative approach. I can tell, Laura really cares about me. Time after time, I scare myself over different medications, snd shots or vaccinations I have to get, but Laura never fails to take the time to help me get over my fears. Anyone can see the love in her sweet eyes for her profession and the folks she serves, and I am blessed to be fortunate enough to have Laura’s unsurpassed council on the medications I don’t understand - explained on a level I can comprehend. Everyone on staff at Walmart Marketplace Pharmacy is just as kind and caring about me, Amy, Phil, Fredricka, and the sweet gal that always gives my doggie a treat at the pickup window! It’s the best pharmacy I’ve ever been too, and that’s a fact!”

“I was there today, March 7th, at 11:39 am (store number 09147). The name of the young lady who rang me up is not on the receipt but she is really awesome! I go to this store often and she is the associate I come in contact with the majority of the time. I wanted to give her a great shout out because she is always so helpful and has a great sense of humor and demeanor. Well done hiring her and I hope she is appreciated because she appears to be such a great asset! I would hire her in a moment's notice as an employer myself. Thanks!”

“Here I am at Publix again. Still my favorite store. I do like Kroger, I think they have better deals and better prices. But Publix is almost walking distance from my house and the Kroger is almost 10 miles away. So I go to Publix. I had to run up to get some of my prescriptions. I like their pharmacy, they're always so nice to me and believe it or not of all the people that come in there they always remember my name. I guess I take too many drugs. They had a whole lot of BOGO's this week, really good ones this time. So I walked around and picked up a lot of things that I didn't come for ubut I thought I might like to eat them. I even stopped by the deli and got me a few chicken wings. I was craving them this morning but my favorite wing restaurant, which is actually a Chinese joint next-door, is closed on Monday. I haven't tried the wings at Publix yet so I hope I like them. They had breaded and fried but I wanted the unbreaded ones. Unfortunately the unbreaded ones are what she called hot and spicy. I hope I like them., I do like hot and spicy but only if it's a little bit spicy , not a whole lot of hot and spicy. I go to a local wing joint sometimes., a national one that you probably know the name of, and I order the wimpy wings. They're ok but not my favorite. My daughter makes fun of me for ordering the wimpy wings because she likes the super hot stuff. Anyway, the people at Publix are always so nice and I enjoy shopping there.”
