“For all you fellow older folks out there: do you remember the days before big-box retailers? Back when finding a specific part or tool meant heading down to your local hardware store, not just to buy what you needed, but to get solid advice from people who actually knew what they were talking about? Or, on the off chance the employees didn’t know, how another customer would overhear you and offer a helpful tip?
This is one of those places. It’s like stepping into a time machine back to the '80s. Everybody here is unbelievably polite, courteous, and helpful. They will bend over backwards to make sure you're taken care of, and if they don't have what you need, they will find it for you at another store. This is my new go-to hardware store.”

“Lowe's vs home depot for the owner of a single home or a very small construction business. Lowes pro credit card gives 5% cash back on EVERY purchase, EVERY time. Thus the discount is more reliable than at HD. Stock wise the Home Depot / Lowe's debate is extremely similar to the Costco / Sam's Club both have some things better than the other, which item is better at which store is always up for a debate. So, I am not going there. In a perfect world I would have business accounts at both to rake advantage of each one's unique benefits. I generally do not spend enough in construction supply so I defer to Lowe's simply because 5% every time.... their military discount and benefits are also better than HD. but as I am a common American am not a vet. 2 of my kids are, but that does not give me a military discount, nor should it. I never volunteered to be in Harms way to protect my fellow citizens rights. They did, so they deserve some respect. Ps I do have both the Costco and sams memberships and credit cards and due to travel and gas benefits usually get much more than the membership price as a cash refund every year....”

“Selected two new wall mounted outdoor light fixtures to complement our rebuilt back deck this week. Lowe's had a great selection of options! The Birchwood farmhouse/industrial style has a 12W integrated LED so no changing out bulbs. We're skeptical but hopeful. It took trial and error to find the right bulb for the Halyard to match the LED color/warmth. Best match for us is the GE Relax LED 'neutral warm white light' (most yellow colored box). It was super easy to return the bulbs we didn't like and repurchase another option. “This Home Depot is the closest to our house, and we have experienced consistent customer service, cleanliness and organized aisles for the 15yrs we have lived in Marietta.We recently had our back deck rebuilt. Home Depot had everything our installer requested with competitive pricing (compared with Lowe's and Metro Building). Our first large lumber order was placed online and delivered directly to our driveway for $79 + $30 so we could specify the delivery window.Our installer didn't give much notice when he was ready for the deck, railing and balusters. The lumber crew was so helpful, offering to cart the 2x10x16s and 2x4x16s I needed before 7am and help load them into my Expedition EL. For the 66 deck pieces and balusters, I was able to order online for my installer to pick up without issue.Once the deck was complete, we returned the few extra items with ease. We love this Home Depot and appreciate their continued excellence.”
