“I waited until to see if all my packages and letters reached their destinations from inside Georgia to Indiana and to California. Sent 9 packages/letters and all of them arrived safely.
When looking at post offices in the Atlanta area, I was shocked at how low the ratings were for other locations. Friends recommended I make the trip out to Avondale and I even took the Marta before walking.
So glad I did. Service was friendly, courteous, and efficient. I apologized to both the lady who helped me and the other clients as I had so many things to send. They were all kind and understanding.

“I always go here for my designated spot for dropping off packages with the Clip 'n Ship service. It's always quick and easy here, and they're super accommodating and helpful. Just one scan from my phone, they print it out the shipping label and put it on my package, then they hand over the tracking number. Easy. The ones closer to my house tend to be incredibly inefficient, forcing the customers to buy boxing tape if the customer doesn't have tape to mask over their shipping label and then forcing them to go to the back of the line again. However, I've never had that issue here. Definitely recommend this one.”

Whenever I need to do something here, I always enjoy talking to her because she's so friendly and nice. It makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.”
“Im not sure what the bad reviews are all about. I had a very smooth experience. Walked right in at 10 am and was able to get my fingerprints done. The two guys at the desk were super nice and had me in and out in 5 minutes. The only negative I would say is the outside area looks rough and not cut in months. But the staff and wait time was great!”

“I have to brag on this wonderful woman who works SOLO at this branch! About a month ago I put all my daughter's high school graduation announcements in the mailbox at this location. The woman who works there had taped it up to tell people not to put mail in there but I did not see the tape. Weeks later I wondered if my cards were ever mailed so I went back. She told me they had removed that box, that mail was not supposed to go in there. I thought she would just drop it there, as so many government workers do, but no. Ms. Whitney picked up her own cell phone, made some calls, got my number, and told me she would call me back when she found our announcements. An hour later, she FaceTimed me to ask if the letters she was holding were ours. Yes! They were! The person who removed the box had them in a bag sitting in a room and no one knew about them. Whitney found them and mailed them for me. She went the extra mile! So while I'm annoyed with USPS right now, and that worker in particular, Ms. Whitney who must be overwhelmed with all the work in that branch ran the extra mile for me and now my daughter's announcements have been delivered. Thank you Ms. Whitney!!!!”

“I have been using this location for many years and yes sometimes there are back logs to the counter but usually during lunch hours . The two people who presently working there are very professional and goes the extra mile to assist you . I see customers showing up and are not prepared correctly to mail something but they are treated well and given the opportunity to correct whatever and get their stuff mailed . This takes a lot of patience on the associates there. I give the PO a 100% rating . Their front should swing in vice out due to some customers carrying a load to mail.”

The main lady in the front at the first desk always has everything she needs, she understands services, and willing to help everyone in the front and back end. Yes everyone can be curt there because the lines are long, and people don’t listen to instructions carefully, but they’re always smiling at this post office!!”
“EAV Post Office is pretty good. They have a parking lot, and usually have the necessary mailing supplies. There are some blue post boxes out front and a large package drop off inside.”
“The last few postal office visits to other branches have been miserable, either a rude attendant or no help. Chris helped me out at this location today and was incredibly patient, helpful, and kind! I watched him interact and joke with multiple customers and he helped me with all my questions to make sure my package was mailed correctly. Thank you Chris!”
“Idk what everyone expects from USPS but I’ve been shipping packages through this post office without any issues. And everyone saying the staff is rude…they really aren’t, they’re just doing their job. And most of the times are friendly, smiling and answer any questions. It’s not a premium service, hence you don’t pay UPS or FedEx Premiums. I’ve gotten money orders and other services and it’s all been fine.
If you have a problem with your post office, maybe speak to your state and county representatives, and don’t vote in people who aren’t interested in improving USPS for the public but privatize it for their own profits.”

I go out of my way to come to this post office because it’s worth it. People complaining about service have not been to a post office in NYC and it shows ?”
“I had to send multiple tax returns today. Katherine was wonderful. She confirmed all the correct IRS and GA Department of Revenue PO Boxes. She suggested to only use First Class for my GA returns because the state picks up the returns directly which saved me $25. She had a very soothing manner and answered all my questions.”
“The low rating this place has is surprising. I've been using this particular location for a while and the staff has always been professional and courteous. It was not a long wait, and accomplishing what I needed to there took even less time. It's a clean facility and a great place to get your mailing needs fulfilled. What more can I say?”
“Big thanks to Kevin Alison at USPS! My wife and I had been missing all of our mail for over two weeks after moving, and despite trying multiple USPS locations and checking everything ourselves, we couldn’t figure it out.
Kevin was incredibly kind and helpful — he took the time to look into our case, made several calls, and double-checked the system for errors. Thanks to his effort, we were finally able to track down our missing mail.

“I have been to this post office twice and there's one person that has helped me both times (Rashaan). I had to ship out 6 rather large international packages. I figured I would do three and go back in the afternoon (figuring it would be a lot for one person). I mentioned this and he said go ahead and bring them all in. Keep in mind he was working alone and because his attitude was so bright and cheerful (you could tell he know his job well and cares about customer service). I was there at a slow time, but I told him that if he got additional customers I would step to the side rather than watch things get backed up, he just said OK and went about his business. I sure wish I lived closer to this post office. My experiences have not been good at other Post Offices...especially when shipping international packages. I hope they get him some much-needed help. This guy is great and one way to ruin a person with a great attitude is to overwork and underappreciate and I hope the USPS appreciates him...I do...Thanks Rashaan!”

“I've been here a handful of times because my orders were "undeliverable" to my address for whatever reason. Each time I've come, I received the help I needed. No one was ever rude to me or wasn't willing to help. (maybe new management? not sure) other reviews depict this place to be so awful but I do not have that experience, probably the "worst" experience I can say I've encountered is the wait time but EVEN then I never waited for more than 10minutes so it is not bad at all. The last time I was here, I realized that my boyfriend had a package dropped here (Either one of us weren't aware - only because the lady who was helping me told me there was an additional package labeled for my address) and she was very helpful in retrieving the item for me. My boyfriends package was large and heavy and she even offered to take it to my car!
This place is not a service post office like others in the area, it is just for pick up and drop off only. And it clearly states that when searching online, and several notices along the entrance and inside, I'm unsure how people miss it and get upset, drive an extra 5-10 minutes to the next post office .”
“The lady at the desk is very thorough and competent and while it may annoy some customers she is simply making absolute sure everything is correct so that your letter or package don’t get lost.
The Decatur and Lilburn locations have lost some of my mail and had significant delays in many more letters and packages being delivered while the lady who works here does her part to keep that from happening”

She personally called me early that morning to let me know their money order machine was down and gave me all the info I needed to prepare ahead of time—saving us time and avoiding a huge inconvenience. Diane was so patient, organized, and attentive, even catching important details that could have delayed my sister’s passport renewal. Her kindness and professionalism made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. USPS is lucky to have her. Thank you, Diane! “I went to this location get a passport. I had an appointment and arrived early. I was informed that their camera is down and I was referred to the CVS down the street to get the photo taken. Afterwards, I returned to the post office and got the passport application take care of. There was only one person up front and she was very efficient for working by herself. 1 star was deducted for the inconvenience of the camera not working.”
