“I really appreciate this location’s service. When civic center USPS at 570 Piedmont Ave is closed or too packed or too slow in the middle of the business hours, I would go to this location. The lady and gentleman there are super nice and welcoming. Nowadays, they help with printing out shipping labels from QR code. Easy and convenient.”

“I had a very pleasant experience at this location. Crystal was very patient with me and made sure that I had everything I needed. I had many packages being shipped internationally, and she worked with me as if I was mailing a simple package. She worked quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, she knew what she was doing. Also, she was very nice. 10/10 service.”

“I went this morning (4 days before Christmas) looking for a missing package. The ladies were so kind and helpful, looked for several minutes for my package and called my postman to verify it was with him to be delivered today (it was!). They went above and beyond and were so kind when I know they’re swamped!!”

“I am so excited to finally find a post office that is helpful and kind! I have always dreaded going to any postal office as employees are usually so rude and barely crack a smile. Lisha was working today and she was so nice and helpful. This will now be my new post office going forward!”

“Needed to apply for a new passport and chose the first option available for Atlanta. Everything went smoothly thanks to Mr. J. Thomas as he kept everyone moving along with his service. He was able to get me to the right place and person to make sure my appointment was done in no time.”

“Extremely quick service, the quickest I have ever been in and out of a post office. Marcus was extremely helpful, kind and professional. The woman behind the other register was very kind as well. Overall the best experience I’ve ever had at a usps location.”

“I had the most amazing experience with this location this morning! Both Ms. Chelsea and Ms. SaPeria were great, these ladies provided a smile and hello greetings to everyone who came into the post office for counter service. I had to purchase a money and then send my letter certified mail so, I stepped to the side to complete my transaction and witnessed these two ladies provide a positive response to at least 15 customers, yes 15 because it was a busy time before closing. Please recognize and say Hello to these two GEM’S ! At time when most people provide negative energy and all you expect is positive vibes, this has to be recognized! Have a great day everyone!”

“The USPS employees here are outstandingly professional, kind, and empathetic despite being understaffed and consequently quite busy. It's been my consistent customer experience each time I've come here that the people do their best (despite the unfortunate USPS budget), and they always go above and beyond to patiently help customers.”

“I wanted to send some large flat photo mailers international. I first went to the Briarcliff post office, where the clerk said they could not process international for some reason, and then told me that each packet required a customs form. So I took the forms and filled them out at home. The next day, I headed to the Chamblee post office, where I was told that they could not process international mail at their facility as their machines were down temporarily due to paperwork issues. The clerk recommended I go to the Dunwoody post office. When I went to the Dunwoody post office, the clerk questioned why I wasn't able to mail international at either facility, and said I didn't need a customs form for large envelopes that were less than 3/4 inches thick, and even showed me his screen with the instructions. There was no special machine to process international. He just used the same scale and program as for domestic. He processed my mailers at a letter rate which was much cheaper than the parcel rate that the Briarcliff clerk said I needed. I was in and out of the Dunwoody post office in a matter of minutes. I appreciate getting the quick efficient and accurate service that the other two post offices did not provide. For the record, the Briarcliff post office has not mailed international for me for at least two years that I recall. Guess I am driving to Dunwoody for this special service from now on.”

“Every time I have come here in the past few months, the same woman is working at the counter and she is so knowledgeable, helpful, expedient, and pleasant. I will drive out of my way to come to this post office over any other one in Atlanta.”

“Yulanda and C. Sykes are always extremely helpful and patient. During the winter holidays (when lines are extra long), they decorate the lobby in a fun and festive manner with holiday tunes so that although the wait is longer than usual, it can be pleasant.”

“People give this post office a hard time because they don’t know that it’s a mail processing center — only for dropping off pre-labeled/pre-paid USPS items to mail out, and for picking up your mail that’s being held for vacation or as requested by sender. They do not sell postal items and cannot label mail for you, nor do they have staff for someone to always be at the service window! Their main job is to just intake and process mail delivery for a large swath of intown Atlanta. We use this location to mail packages for our small business, and our mail is received through it.Any time I’ve ever had an issue in receiving a package, I’ve called or filed a search request and someone promptly calls me and helps resolve the issue.Today they helped me with an issue and quickly resolved it — it reminded me to leave a review. Thank you, mail carriers!”

“Diana Lloyd is the sole reason I will continue to come back to this location. She is always a delight and gives excellent customer service. I know working at the post office is difficult because of the customers who come in demanding this and that, but Diana is never fazed by it and keeps a cool attitude. Please keep her around!”

“This place is pretty great! It's no UPS, but I frequent here a lot since I sell and ship online. Both the man and woman at the counter are really nice and patient, even when there's a long line or a time consuming request. Love my local USPS (-: There's also a QR code on the tracking receipt, which you can compliment or complain on.”

“I received top-notch service from the people at this Post Office. I had prompt service when I reported that I needed my P.O. Box in my condo re-keyed. Thank you so much to Ms. Woods/Hollis, Frazer, and Harold. The three of them got the job done!”

“This is actually a decent USPS. Staff has been helpful when I have visited. There is a helpful kiosk that can be used to buy stamps and print labels without needing to wait in line.”

“The staff is very nice Terry, and the other gentleman that works in there regularly. The location is kind of Rundown and seems like the United States Postal Service would make upgrades or at least do some type of facelift. They could use more Associates in here at this location. Like I said typically there are lines but the staff is great and works hard to get the line to move quickly.”

“I ran in to mail a package and was surprised that there was no line to speak of. The clerk was super efficient and processed my package quickly. I love the USPS tracking, as I can see where the package is at any time. They do have a sign that they are out of Christmas stamps. I was able to order online earlier and got my stamps delivered. Highly recommend online services!”

“This USPS is located off of Cascade Rd on Herring. It's walking distance from the Beautiful. This location is usually busy. Yet, the staff here are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. There are two older women who rotate the front desk. And, only one person working at a time - like most other Post Office locations in this area. Which can lead to long lines and waits. If someone needs to go pull mail that was on hold or grab a lost package, you'll be there for awhile. A large majority of customers here are older, so they're usually buying stamps and need more attention than someone buying postage or dropping off a package. Since Covid, they have signs requesting you wear masks and only 4 people are allowed in at a time. And, there is tape marking the 6 foot spacing. However, the line wraps around the atrium and you sometimes have people waiting outside. If they had two people at the front desk for when the line backs up, it would make more sense. You can hear people working in back and I'm unsure the reasoning but no one comes out to help speed things along. Overall, it's one of my top USPS locations to patronize.”

“Honestly I have had nothing but good experiences here. Whenever I have problems at another location, I'll just come to this one here in Doraville and I never have a problem. They have always been nice to me. The only gripe I have about this location is that they don't have an a self service machine.”

“On my first visit here I was graced with a handful of supplies - bulk needs to be ordered at usps.com.When I returned the other employee Angela W. informed me that I was missing information from my box of certified mailing. She kindly asked that I returned by 4:15P to get my mailings processed before the 5:30P pick-up as they close at 5P. I sat in my truck & applied 145 labels to the confirmation receipts that need to be scanned & postmarked.I returned at 4P & Angela & I (via the window guard) organized & processed all 145 letters. By the time we were finished, it was 5:20P & with no help from her colleague who was available intermittently. Which turned out a be positive as the colleague was discourteous with customers...people ask questions for guidance, not to be chastised.Nonetheless, Angela was cool as a cucumber, cordial & helpful during my 1.5-hour visit. Not once did she get ruffled nor try to rush the process, only stated once the doors were locked that we had a certain amount of time to meet the truck. If you have time to wait to be serviced by Angela, it will be worth it.”

“Was this post office slow? Yes. Are most post offices slow? Yes.Was there a lady ahead of me in line was about to lose her mind tapping on her box, stomping her foot, smacking her teeth, and looking around like she wants to vent to someone and no one would make eye contact with her? Yes. Did I love the free entertainment? Absolutely.”
