“Always a pleasant experience with the new front cashier lady. She's super helpful & kind & works in a manner she knows other folks have places to go as well, aside from only the post office. Definitely a happy camper from my last couple of stops here ?”
“Ms. Jessica is amazing. She's thorough, patient, and kind. When I didn't know how to send a certified letter to tenants, she walked me through the process and shared valuable information. 10/10”
“This location has made changes but that doesn’t make the clerks any less helpful! They do not provide walk-in passport services, this is no longer a drop-off location, and they can no longer provide free tape! Still the employees find a way to be on patient, personal, and budget friendly. I needed to ship a package to my mother in NJ it has glass and lotions inside.
The clerk I was working with black girl with twists helped me find the cheapest way to gift my mommy her Mother’s Day present! ?
It seemed like the crew pulled together when they overheard what I had inside to ship off and helped me pack my box safely! They were in the best mood just laughing with each other and one even roasting me! ?? I had fun and found myself not wanting to leave. They deserve a raise! Dealing with entitled people who come in there yelling, stealing shipping supplies, and just trying to bend the rules to serve their own interests… I work in customer service as well and I know these clerks have it hard. The only way they can get their jobs done is to stay positive! At this location I strongly recommend you go by just to say hello to the men and women who work here! They’d appreciate your kindness! People don’t always show up like them every day faithfully and attempting to try! A round of applause for these usps employees! Keep it up!!!”
“I’m low-key scared to write this because next time I come it might be packed…
But honestly, every time I drop off my packages in the downtown Atlanta area, it’s the best experience.
The whole staff gets straight to the point and I’m in and out super quick.
Thanks for the great service!”
“This is the USPS Passport Mega Center, I did not visit the "mail" side. When I arrived, I checked in at the desk. I had an appointment but in talking to the guy, we realized it was the following day. He told me no worries, and gave me a ticket with a number on it. I only had to wait about 10 minutes and my number was called. The woman who processed my passport app and took my photo was fantastic. They were all so incredibly nice, atypical for postal employees in Atlanta. I will absolutely go here for any passport needs in the future. I was in and out in about 45 minutes.”
“I arrived around 9:40 AM. The location wasn’t busy, and there was one station active to assist customers. I didn’t have to wait, and the staff member who helped me was friendly and efficient.
However, she didn’t mention that free packaging materials were available. When I asked for an envelope, I was given a paid version without being informed about the free option. While it wasn’t expensive, it would be helpful for staff to notify customers about available free materials.
Additionally, I was charged more for a money order than I expected based on the website, which was a bit confusing.
Overall, it was a positive experience with no unnecessary wait time, and the staff was helpful, though not quite as attentive as I’ve experienced at similar locations.”
“Hard to see because you enter at back dock next to coroners office and lot reads Service road on gate not a street sign then drive around to building. The gate hides it. It is a one way facing i-20 and turn in left. The people inside seems knowledgeable about the issues I was having and how to resolve them concerning mailbox key. Totally off but the first POBox number is 3101 which is address box for TDJakes all the way in Texas not Georgia and was my phone number last four plus the tow truck dolly rented from Alabama turned in at Petets street in Georgia had letters TD. I didn't know if I should feel blessed or unsafe.”
“EDIT: but they ARE closed on Saturdays, despite it saying they're open (I assume they're open for deliveries, but definitely NOT pickups).
And they close at 4:30pm usually, not 5pm.
In my experience, they've been good. Helpful, pretty quick. But I haven't had any real issues that needed handling, I just come in to pick up my packages when I get an email”
“I had an excellent experience at the United States Postal Service yesterday! From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and the service was top-notch. Crissy was especially outstanding—she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of her way to be helpful. She took the time to answer my questions, made sure I understood my options, and handled everything with professionalism and care. Her positive attitude really made a difference and turned a routine visit into a great one. Truly a 5-star experience!”
“Visiting from IL, we had to ship a few items & change a forwarding address. Mrs. Charlene was so nice and very informative. We came back a few days later & she even remembered us! She has that southern hospitality that everyone speaks of! A true gem ❤️”
“I’m not sure what happened, because this post office didn’t used to be very good. However, the last couple of times that I’ve been in I’ve had wonderful experiences. The staff has been super friendly and very helpful. Just wanted to say thanks for the great service and I look forward to visiting This post office again soon.”
“J Rod and Cha went out of their way to stay open today when the gate wasn’t working. They had one person outside helping us and one inside running everything back and forth. Awesome stuff”
“Ms. T was the nicest and most helpful person ever. She was friendly to me and every other customer she helped. I've never mailed a package before and she was very understanding and helpful”
“I have been using this location for many years and yes sometimes there are back logs to the counter but usually during lunch hours . The two people who presently working there are very professional and goes the extra mile to assist you . I see customers showing up and are not prepared correctly to mail something but they are treated well and given the opportunity to correct whatever and get their stuff mailed . This takes a lot of patience on the associates there. I give the PO a 100% rating . Their front should swing in vice out due to some customers carrying a load to mail.”
“Office is NOT open on weekends! The lockers and self serve kiosks are open. There was a line a people all waiting to use the kiosk and apparently we all thought the post office was open.”
“I was honestly dreading going to the post office because it seems you only hear horrible things these days but I was able to mail things quickly and easily. Jordan triaged customers quickly and efficiently and was patient and courteous. Thank you ??”
“This is my local USPS and although it’s very tiny, it’s my usual go-to. I’ve experienced good service anytime I’ve gone in. However, one of the Mail Drop boxes from out front was removed. It was the one with the slightly larger opening that could accept small/medium sized packages. I really miss this being out front. I also wish the lobby was still left open so I could drop off larger packages even after the Post Office is closed. Luckily the Decatur location can take these during off hours.”
“This USPS is located off of Cascade Rd on Herring. It's walking distance from the Beautiful. This location is usually busy. Yet, the staff here are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. There are two older women who rotate the front desk. And, only one person working at a time - like most other Post Office locations in this area. Which can lead to long lines and waits. If someone needs to go pull mail that was on hold or grab a lost package, you'll be there for awhile. A large majority of customers here are older, so they're usually buying stamps and need more attention than someone buying postage or dropping off a package. Since Covid, they have signs requesting you wear masks and only 4 people are allowed in at a time. And, there is tape marking the 6 foot spacing. However, the line wraps around the atrium and you sometimes have people waiting outside. If they had two people at the front desk for when the line backs up, it would make more sense. You can hear people working in back and I'm unsure the reasoning but no one comes out to help speed things along. Overall, it's one of my top USPS locations to patronize.”
“My experience at this post office was one of the more painless ones I've had at a mail place.
Staff was lovely, service was quick. ?
I worry if the reviews are low here for nefarious reasons.”
“Before visiting the United States Postal Service location in East Point, GA, I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant. I had read several negative reviews mentioning poor customer service and overcharging, so I went in expecting the worst. Thankfully, my experience was the complete opposite.
From the moment I stepped up to the counter, USPS employee T. Jones completely changed my perception of this location. She was extremely pleasant, professional, and efficient, even while handling a steady flow of customers. What stood out the most was her ability to remain calm, patient, and genuinely helpful no matter the situation in front of her.
T. Jones was not only quick but also a truthful and knowledgeable problem-solver. She took the time to clearly explain options, answer questions honestly, and ensure each customer was taken care of properly without rushing or showing frustration. It was clear she takes pride in her work and understands how much good customer service matters, especially in a fast-paced environment like the post office.
Thanks to her, my visit was smooth, stress-free, and efficient. Experiences like this deserve recognition, especially when employees go above and beyond despite the negative reputation that sometimes surrounds their workplace.
If you’re on the fence about visiting the East Point USPS location, I highly recommend giving it a chance and if you’re lucky enough to be helped by T. Jones, you’re in excellent hands. She is a true asset to the United States Postal Service and a great example of what customer service should look like.”
“Nay is quick, efficient, and super friendly- I’m sad to be moving and to a new location/getting a new post office solely because her assistance will be missed. Great service and a pleasure to talk to!”
“I came to drop off a package yesterday on my way home from yoga class. Everyone went above and beyond to assist me. I was impressed by how knowledgeable, fast paced, kind and respectful the associates were. I would definitely recommend this location.”
“I've been here a handful of times because my orders were "undeliverable" to my address for whatever reason. Each time I've come, I received the help I needed. No one was ever rude to me or wasn't willing to help. (maybe new management? not sure) other reviews depict this place to be so awful but I do not have that experience, probably the "worst" experience I can say I've encountered is the wait time but EVEN then I never waited for more than 10minutes so it is not bad at all. The last time I was here, I realized that my boyfriend had a package dropped here (Either one of us weren't aware - only because the lady who was helping me told me there was an additional package labeled for my address) and she was very helpful in retrieving the item for me. My boyfriends package was large and heavy and she even offered to take it to my car!
This place is not a service post office like others in the area, it is just for pick up and drop off only. And it clearly states that when searching online, and several notices along the entrance and inside, I'm unsure how people miss it and get upset, drive an extra 5-10 minutes to the next post office .”
“A couple of days ago I went to a different post office closest to where I live now trying to catch a package that was being delivered at the wrong address the lady at the counter was no help at all she had no suggestions nor information to give me to help me with my situation that was before the package was even delivered after the package was delivered I contacted the post office they gave me suggestions so today I went to Lakewood station in the area where the package was delivered to the two ladies at the Lakewood station were very helpful took their time with me they were very patient and very respectful and had suggestions to help me with my situation as well as go back in the back and look for my package they were able to find my package for me I definitely appreciate them
Thank you very much”
“After driving throughout Buckhead looking for a post office that was open. Arrived to this location that was open, my local post office on Pharr Road is closed for remodeling. The wait time was minimal and the clerk was helpful & friendly.”
“I just ran into this post office and was hesitant because of the negative reviews. It was the fastest experience I’ve ever had at the post office and the woman at the desk was so nice and so helpful. Great customer service and super informative. This will be my local stop for sure.”
“Everyone here is always kind and efficient. There is a younger woman that works here that is exceptionally great at her job. She had a pink bandana on today and a kind smile. She deserves a raise!”
“I had a positive experience at this post office today. Mr. Phillips went out of his way to help me with a large, heavy package and even carried it out to my car. That kind of thoughtfulness and extra effort really stood out to me. It’s rare to receive such genuine customer service these days and I truly appreciated it. Thank you for going the extra mile!”
“Hidden gem, I just came from godby rd and that other usps was packed and rude and hot. But this post office is a breath of fresh air. It’s cool is never really packed and they are nice people”
