“Booked BIG Island buggy last min as we realised that we forgot to book a car for Kona. I called the morning that our cruise arrived and the gentleman was so kind and was able to book me in. My wife and I arrived there and we were greeted by the owner and his wife and they were beyond awesome. They gave us a map with some great ideas on where to go based off what we had in mind. I do not often post reviews but felt the need to give these guys the credit they deserved. Thanks again!”

“I recently rented a car at the Kona, Hawaii airport through my company’s corporate program and as an Emerald Club member, and the entire experience was excellent. The shuttle arrived promptly with no waiting at the airport, and my car was washed and ready when I arrived. It was clean, odor-free, problem-free, and ran beautifully throughout my rental.
The return was just as easy and hassle-free, with a friendly agent and a smooth shuttle ride back to the airport. In fact, both times I rode the airport shuttle, I was the only passenger!
From start to finish, the service was efficient, friendly, and seamless. All car rental companies should be this great!”

Super easy to book on the Enterprise website. Super easy to check out at the location. Very friendly staff. We were in and out in 10 minutes - this is a miracle in my book as 1-hour was the longest check out I have experienced with other rental car companies.
As we were leaving, we saw crews cleaning and shining other returned cars - they really treat the cars as if their own.
Highly recommend if you need a rental car to tour big island.”

“Nicole was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I met her, she was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to help me find the car that was the best fit for my trip, BMW X3 (which was excellent), but what really made the experience special was everything beyond the rental itself.
Nicole gave me so many amazing recommendations for places to visit, things to do, and ways to enjoy the Big Island. It honestly felt like I was getting a rental car and a personal local travel guide at the same time! 😂🌺 Her recommendations made my trip even more memorable.
I would absolutely go back to Nicole the next time I visit the Big Island, and I highly recommend her not only for finding the right rental car, but also for some great local advice on how to experience this beautiful island.

“We had a very pleasant experience with Payless rental, their shuttle drivers were extremely friendly and helpful and were constantly helping with passengers' luggage's big or small. There was quite a line but it was moved efficiently. We signed up for a suv and asked specifically if we may have a jap suv for fuel efficiency and drivability. There was no aggressive selling pitches and everyone seemed quite happy working there. No issue or over charge when returned. And the price was competitive.”

“Car had a little under half a tank at recieval which I thought was odd. Regardless my flight was like nearly 2 hours delayed and per policy Alex and his team were here to take care of us. I really appreciated their patience and taking care of us so we too could head home for the night.
Despite several negative reviews I think the people working this location do the best they can with what they have.”

“Staff when getting the car was friendly and helpful. When we returned the car the staff took our key to check us in, then when we were already at the airport they called and said they couldn't find the key. I explained the staff person used our key to check the car back in and kept the key. They finally said they would not charge me for the key and I said that was a good thing because their staff took the key!”

“100% Would rent from here again. The Jeep was perfect for our adventures and managed Mauna Kea like a beast! The owners were so cool, upgraded our rental for us for free which was an amazing surprise! Their communication is top tier and were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and fun activities. Pickup and drop-off were a breeze. I have zero complaints. Amazing!!!”
