I say that because the best restaurants, stores, and places to stay that I have had the opportunity to experience throughout several decades have been smaller family owed and local businesses. Duncan's is one of those places. They are like family. Unfortunately their have been some people who have left with only 1 young man who came back that knows my husband and I as regulars and again have always treated us like family. The new employees are nice and kind and are still adjusting. However, the vibe from Duncan's is working its way through these new employees, and it's nice to see. Duncan's will always be our place to go, and we highly recommend this pet store to everyone we know and meet.

Now, when we pull into the parking lot, Rosie actually gets excited! She always comes home smelling amazing, feeling super soft, and with her nails perfectly trimmed. It’s such a relief knowing she’s in good hands and being well taken care of. Thank you, Kenzie, for treating her like your own!

I moved to the Coeur d'Alene area recently. The veterinarian that I left was absolutely wonderful I had been with them for over 20 years. You couldn't ask for a better veterinarian's office staffed with caring kind doctors and vet techs. I reached out on a post and asked for recommendations and was given three different places with high votes. The first one I went to was fine. The vet was more than capable but the front desk staff was like robots. So the second one I went to was Prairie Animal Hospital and honest to goodness, it is everything my last veterinarian's office was, only more busy LOL very engaging staff and doctors. They get back to you they do follow-ups they make room for you in their schedules I mean you know, you're greeted when you first walk in. If I could give him 10 Stars I would.

Prairie animal hospital continues exceed my expectations. I'm there for the life of my pets.

Emergency Vet Hospital of Coeur d'Alene
1336 W Kathleen Ave, Coeur d'AleneDr. Anders Langworthy, Jenell, and the whole team here saved my 13 year old Yorkie, Bentley.
He had a large surgical instrument stuck inside of him…. A very scary (malpractice) error that was made by a previous vet, at a different clinic.
I was in shock, panicked, horrified….
Jenell was so caring. She skillfully reviewed the risks, but then provided me a sense of calm. She gave me the confidence I needed to let them help. My saving grace ?.
Dr. Anders was intelligent, skilled, responsible, calm…. He made a plan for Bentleys surgical care that aligned with my needs and goals for Bentley.
I was so panicked…. I didn’t care that he wasn’t a “specialist” or working in the most advanced facility in the region. I tried the (apparently) most advanced facility in the region… I initially drove him 2 hours down to WSU-Pullman vet emergency department…. Once we figured out what was wrong with him…. WSU demanded $900 upfront and placed him on a “list” of patients.
I couldn’t believe they wanted to speak about finances before even making a plan to help my dog. I was so upset and they really didn’t do a lot to help! Other than take my money and tell me to get in line.
I then reached out to EVH of CdA….
I needed Bentley cared for immediately.
The entire team took it very seriously…. and did everything they could in their power to save Bentleys life…. They got him into surgery right away. They saved him.
I am forever grateful. Bentley is home now and on the road to recovery. I will hopefully be able to cherish many more memories with my miracle boy. God bless you all. Riley ?

We all ordered some pizzas and a couple of appetizers. The pizzas were the best, beautiful toppings and crust. There own beers were the greatest.
Last but not least the staff were super friendly and got to our orders right away, even tho it appeared quite busy. They know what they're doing here !!
