This place is huge with a grocery selection that has just about everything, the kicker is a phenomenal food court with something for everyone, a Starbucks and a full bar with cocktails, wines and large selection of beers on draft. Customer service is friendly & fast with decent prices. The bar has an outdoor patio, live music some nights and Wednesday trivia nights. My only suggestion would be that they wall it off from the store a little more.”
“Had a good experience at this Walmart tonight. I received exceptional service from Sylus. He was stocking shelves and clearly busy. I asked him where I could find an item and he told me exactly where I could find it. I found him again, interrupted him, and asked for another item that my wife told me I could find there on the ethnic food aisle and couldn't find. He walked me to where he thought it was, squatted down and found it way at the back on the bottom shelf where it looked like there was an empty SKU. Well done, Walmart. Keep employees like this around. Or send them to work with me! I'm not sure if it was Sylus or Sylas. But, he really helped me tonight after a bunch of aimless wandering. I found the items on the app in store but couldn't decide between delivery and pick up because I was already there. Why can't they just make it easy for the app to tell me the aisle?”

Is super nice, exceptional customer service, she went above and beyond helping us, for my teen daughters Birthday cake, and cupcakes, She did a beautiful job for my teenage daughter, trying to figure out what exactly my daughter was trying to explain what she wanted, she found a cake she really liked, and Carley did everything possible to get it as close to the colors, designs, even made her own bows for it to truly turn out perfectly, like my daughter imagined it to be, with even my daughters own twist on the cake designs, colors, etc. there was other customers that came in, and Carley was able to help those customers to their likings, prompt services, and us, while we were still browsing the bakery other yummy foods, we ended up with some of their delicious cookies, variety of choices, with my teen daughters sweet sixteen theme, Carley was helpful to help us to know what isle the stores ice cream isle , other items, too. She didn't have to, but was super awesome getting us squared away. “I love Fred Meyer, I mean common they were the only "General Store" in Idaho until Walmart (which was looked at as an oddity. It was late 1999 or 1998 when Walmart came to Boise. Fred Meyer has always had quality products, household, housewares, furniture, decor, clothing, intimates, fantastic produce, meat, deli, and ahead of all the little pop ups when it comes to the new trend in consumer food products "vegan", "organic", "gluten free" and they continue to grow and remain the front runner. Their prices were beet by Walmart before Covid if one does not utilize the reward system, ads, coupons; both electronic and paper. I save more and get better products from a Northwest local supply chain supporter with amazing products and service. You have to utilize your rewards and don't miss the Founders sale. We actually on vacation went to the first Kroger (and still the corporate store) in Oregon. It's multi level and awesome. I love FM. Two of three of my children work for the company. They started while in high school. They are great employers as well.”

“I stop in alot as its right outside my neighborhood. I don't frequent the inside that much usually just stop in for gas. The have plenty of pumps and prices are always right inline with the norm. Inside it's a typical convenient store. It is a little small but has everything I have every wanted. There is a mcdonalds attached also. They have a car wash which sucks I used it once just to get the leaves off my car and it left swirl marks from the water sprayer. It is brushless which is nice just not worth it..”
“Initially Marisa helped us when we were looking for a wedding band. She was very knowledgeable and much more helpful than the young man we spoke to at Kay Jeweler's in the mall. She offered several options, was very patient with us trying on things and let me know about an upcoming sale that would save us money. “I have seen all these complaints about customer service and etc. This is a really good pharmacy and very professionally run. But, like pretty much everyplace these days, they have staffing shortages. The lead person there is an excellent pharmacist called Scott. I’ve been using them for several years now, and of course there have been a few times when the medical provider and the pharmacy get some signals crossed. But that is not at all common. I know how stressful and frustrating it can be standing in a line for a long time, but my opinion is that they are doing the very best they can in today’s world. So great job Fred’s Pharmacy!”

Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
