Petco
702 S Randall Rd, AlgonquinCame there looking for a harness for our small terrier. Employee helped finding and fitting the perfect harness. She also answered my questions about a Thunder Shirt. I was skeptical about them and she gave me testimonials that convinced me. It worked amazingly with 4th of July fireworks.

Pet Grooming

Clips 'n Wiggles Dog Grooming
4065 W Algonquin Rd, AlgonquinI took my 4 Yorkies (including my 17 yr old senior pup) to Clips n Wiggles for the first time since my previous groomer retired. I am very grateful to have found this place which was recommended to us by a friend. I was nervous taking my pups to a new place but I am so glad I took them here. The staff are experienced and professional and they really do care about your fur babies. I was especially nervous for my senior pup who is very delicate, but they took extra great care of him. The communication was great, I dropped them off and they called me when they were ready for pick up. My pups all look fantastic and I am happy to have found a safe, reliable groomer for my babies!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Clean Eatz
776B S Randall Rd, AlgonquinStopped by this café after a friend mentioned it, and I’m so glad I did. I expected a simple meal prep shop, but it’s a full restaurant with tons of healthy options. They offer a new meal plan every week w/o a subscription, plus a whole freezer wall of pre-made meals ready to purchase on the spot.
Great quality, convenient choices, and honestly very reasonable prices for this area. Highly recommend checking it out!

First Watch
1723 S Randall Rd, AlgonquinI visited First Watch in Algonquin and ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which was delicious and perfectly sized. I really appreciated that the portion felt balanced—just enough to satisfy without overdoing it. The potatoes were golden, seasoned beautifully, and honestly, I could’ve eaten a whole plate of them alone.
Despite being busy, we were seated surprisingly fast, which was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was the noise level—it was pretty loud, and it was hard to hear the waitress or even the people I was with at times. Still, the food and service made it worth it, and I’d definitely come back for another breakfast that tastes as good as it feels.

Scorched Earth Brewing Company
203 Berg St, AlgonquinGot some greats beers from this brewery in Algonquin. It probably is the best thing about this town, or, it's what people know most about it. Scorched Earth is one of the main hangouts on weekends. A good amount of beers to choose from. There's a pretty big variety on tap. Coming here early in the afternoon, and it was already busy. It's a brewery that's also family friendly. That means it's okay to bring kids, which is getting increasingly common for breweries it seems. A lot of interesting sounding ones on the list. It's about $7 a pint. Pretty okay for locally owned and produced. Best of the ones we had was the Wunderpilz, a German style pilsner that was light. It's got no food in here except $5 tubs of Von Hanson's Pretzels. Has more when food trucks are here. There's usually one on site. Has a pretty hidden location off Algonquin Road on Berg. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There's food trucks on weekends.

Bold American Fare
8 S Main St, AlgonquinWhat a great place…
We did a Tuesday tapas night. We were with another couple and decided to try almost all
Of the small plates. We. Were. Blown. Away.
Shrimp cocktail, Maryland blue crab cakes, baked scallops, mussels, cornbread shrimp fritters, creamy Cesar salad, lobster pop tart, and lobster chowder. Let me tell you, everything was wonderful. There wasn’t an item on the table we didn’t love. Our server was fantastic. She made the night perfect!
Also, peep the carrot cake… strongly recommend. The art work in the women’s washroom made my day. Iykyk

Antigua Mexican Grill (Algonquin)
2160 Lake Cook Rd, AlgonquinJose, the bartender, greeted me friendly and with open arms, doing me a solid in turning to the Bears/Packers game during dinner at the bar side and then also fixing a non-alcoholic spritzer that tasted remarkably similar to one of my favorite gose beers from back in the day when I used to drink, for those that do I recommend 5 Rabbit for the azteca flare and influence who produce strange, off center brews with ingenuity and flavor #randymosher #antiqua
Thank you so much for setting the mood with live music performance that was incredible and reminded me of penguin cafe orchestra with Latin inspirations. I highly recommend going to check out Antiqua, it is a vibrant setting, beautiful architecture and art, as well as bright and colorful designing. Love the whole concept and the real time is immersive and lively fun ????????
