4065 W Algonquin Rd, AlgonquinI took my 4 Yorkies (including my 17 yr old senior pup) to Clips n Wiggles for the first time since my previous groomer retired. I am very grateful to have found this place which was recommended to us by a friend. I was nervous taking my pups to a new place but I am so glad I took them here. The staff are experienced and professional and they really do care about your fur babies. I was especially nervous for my senior pup who is very delicate, but they took extra great care of him. The communication was great, I dropped them off and they called me when they were ready for pick up. My pups all look fantastic and I am happy to have found a safe, reliable groomer for my babies!

230 Stonegate Rd, AlgonquinAnimal Care Clinic is always great with my 2 dogs. I’ve seen several of their doctors and never been disappointed in the quality of care. This time I saw Dr. Paul who helped reassure me that my aging dog is not in pain and that we are doing all we can to help him age with comfort and dignity. We had a compassionate discussion about quality of life and I felt a huge relief knowing my pup is still enjoying his life comfortably. We also talked about how to tell when quality of life is deteriorating and, while not a fun topic, Dr. Paul was both kind and realistic.
Pet care can be expensive but I trust ACC to help me determine what’s healthiest for my pets and that is 100% worth it. Thanks to the entire staff from check in to techs to doctors and everyone behind the scenes!

776B S Randall Rd, AlgonquinStopped by this café after a friend mentioned it, and I’m so glad I did. I expected a simple meal prep shop, but it’s a full restaurant with tons of healthy options. They offer a new meal plan every week w/o a subscription, plus a whole freezer wall of pre-made meals ready to purchase on the spot.
Great quality, convenient choices, and honestly very reasonable prices for this area. Highly recommend checking it out!

Scorched Earth Brewing Company
203 Berg St, AlgonquinGot some greats beers from this brewery in Algonquin. It probably is the best thing about this town, or, it's what people know most about it. Scorched Earth is one of the main hangouts on weekends. A good amount of beers to choose from. There's a pretty big variety on tap. Coming here early in the afternoon, and it was already busy. It's a brewery that's also family friendly. That means it's okay to bring kids, which is getting increasingly common for breweries it seems. A lot of interesting sounding ones on the list. It's about $7 a pint. Pretty okay for locally owned and produced. Best of the ones we had was the Wunderpilz, a German style pilsner that was light. It's got no food in here except $5 tubs of Von Hanson's Pretzels. Has more when food trucks are here. There's usually one on site. Has a pretty hidden location off Algonquin Road on Berg. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There's food trucks on weekends.

I met the owner and his son during my visit and they are so kind and you can tell they are passionate about becoming a solid neighborhood spot. Many people probably remember Buddyz Pizza from this location and these guys are bringing that same level of quality and fun back to the area. Support local and give Banushi’s a try!

Shrimp cocktail, Maryland blue crab cakes, baked scallops, mussels, cornbread shrimp fritters, creamy Cesar salad, lobster pop tart, and lobster chowder. Let me tell you, everything was wonderful. There wasn’t an item on the table we didn’t love. Our server was fantastic. She made the night perfect!
Also, peep the carrot cake… strongly recommend. The art work in the women’s washroom made my day. Iykyk

Their drinks were beautifully presented, for example, garnished with a flower. There was also a mariachi band playing; they played "Happy Birthday" for me and even dedicated a song I really love to me ❤️

Even though the place was full of energy and quite busy, we were seated quickly and taken care of right away. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. I have tried plenty of fish fries over the years, and this one easily stands at the top of my list. The fish was cooked beautifully with a light, crisp coating and tender, flaky texture inside. It was a truly satisfying meal.
