“Over the years I have always received amazing help from this annex. The people I speak with are always patient and do their absolute best to help me out. Due to my own error, I put the wrong address on a package and Ebony has been tremendously helpful in locating the package. Ebony always picks up the phone and works tirelessly to make sure we all get our mail correctly. I am very grateful for all the hard work that Ebony and the entire team at this annex does!”

“I think Mundelein post office is great. I live in Grayslake, but it is worth it for me to drive to Mundelein because I know the packages will be sent out timely and the staff is very nice. They have excellent hours on the Saturday when mail is still sent out at 4:30 pm.”

“Great location, if one wants to mail directly instead of via local mailboxes. Usually not crowded, patient and helpful staff; sometimes busy at holidays or weekends but reliable. Nice variety of stamps available plus reliable service. Got solid advice from helpful staff recently on mail security and potential check fraud and unusual mail delays. Ideal place at slow times to get answers and informed answers at on USPS certified mail and tracking packages or letters.Front and side entrance are OK. Now-gone parking in back was a huge plus, though.”

“I’m not a permanent resident here, I come every few months, but at this post office, you either have a really nice employee or you strike out with an employee who acts like they’d rather be doing anything else.However, I’ve heard the building is a bit of a local tourist destination, and how could it not be? An art deco style building that looks like a fortress? However, they need to make some renovations in the interior as there are holes in the wall.”

“The best mail lady in Northbrook is Letty, she has the best personality and very friendly. Its always a pleasure seeing her come in and deliver mail. We can always tell when she doesn't come in there's a difference between her and other mail carriers. Shes the one that reminds us if we've got outgoing mail which is always helpful.”

“Anyone giving this post office a bad review has either never been to a post office or is blaming the front of house employees for general post office problems. The people at the counter are fantastic and far superior to what you see at most post offices. They are kind, actually care and work with you to solve problems. The postmaster at the location is readily available and will readily help with any issues. I often feel bad for the employees because most of the time when I hear people angry at them, it is because they themselves did something wrong or screwed something up and are blaming the PO.Is this place perfect? Obviously not. Relative to other POs, they are amazing.”

Most recently Tony took care of a situation over a few packages that weren't delivered but he took care of it with A+++ service. Thank you tony!”

“I walked in looking for a box that is used to ship items free and couldn’t find it, so then I started looking at larger boxes that cost. Diane told me not to use that box because it would be too expensive. She then had me try two less expensive packages that didn’t work and then found a box that would be free. She then taped the box around the oversized item even when I told her she could take care of another person. Thankyou for not giving up on me.”
