βHyde Park Trader Joe's is a good neighborhood resource. There was once a food collective that occupied the space this store is in. So, Trader Joe's provides the options for produce, dairy, meat, snacks (oodles & oodles of snacks!), wine and various pantry staples (rice. Pasta, soups, et al). The namesake house brand is pretty decent in regards to quality and ingredients. The staff is affable and quick to assist shoppers. Bring your own bags or buy a few Trader Joe's shopping bags to keep in the car or home. Ample free parking in their open air lot.β
βBest place to buy meat.Been going here for 30 years. I have never been disappointed with the service and the meat. It's a great place to buy very good meat.β
βBest polish sausage in the business. My grandparents went here, my parents went here and now I go here. Their steaks are cheaper than anywhere in the Chicago Land and they are to die for.β

βAldi is a great place to shop they have so many items to choose from at great prices. Aldi fruits and veggies are very good. Also the Employee's are very polite, helpful and friendly ?β
βStill the best deal in town. Unlike Stracks et al, they don't price gouge. They also don't try to pawn off the "half loaf" of bread for the price of a full loaf. Keep up the good work ? ? ?β

βI love shopping here. There is a large variety of fruits and vegetables. Meat is reasonably priced. You need to bring a quarter to rent a cart and bring your own bagsβ
βI just left the store. The people were very friendly and helped me a lot. Three different people helped me in total. The store and vegetables were very clean, pretty, and organized. There is a great variety here. It's bigger inside than outside. My Spanish is not very good but, yes, I like it a lot. The only thing is I would like to see more light. It's a little dark.β
βMy favorite store. Prices are reasonable better than Walmart. I always buy Almond Milk, eggs, potatoes, chicken wings, Pink Lady Apples and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream. Also breakfast meats.β

A great variety of fresh produce from apples and potatoes to exotic and seasonal fruits. Also a great variety of βrareβ items such national dishes like pierogi to some Mexican items, rare jams and honey. I especially like they sell watermelon quarters during the summer.
Iβd say itβs a little overpriced. Also, though the are a lot of fruits and vegetables, be careful when picking one. Often berries arenβt in a good shape, unfortunately.β
βFresh produce always stocked and reasonably prices for what you get. Organic options!!! Always love to see a healthy salad bar. And the homemade bread and cheese popcorn slaps.β

βReasonable prices, great product! I have raised my family on Aldi and have shopped Aldi for over 45 years! I would recommend it. Aldi has organic choices with no antibiotic meats. The produce is good. The bargan aisles have very cool finds. Stay out if those aisles if you are on a budget.β

The only items this one doesn't sell is wine and beer.β

βActually, Aldi's is a good store. They have some good meats, fruits, and vegetables. They even have a very small selection of gluten free products. The only thing they need more of is gluten free products for those of us that have gluten sensitivities like myself.β

βThe parking is easy to get in and out. The carts are in good shape. The store is clean and layed out nicely. They have both cashiers and self check out which is nice to pick. The self check out captures good. I usually self check out even with lots of items. I organize my bags open on the side, which once scanned I place it directly in the bag. Then when I pay, I'm already bagged and just go.β
βPrices on produce are really high, but they have a great selection of frozen and packaged foods that I can't find elsewhere. Also great craft beer and other fun canned drinks, both boozy and not.β
βAldi's is a really nice store. I love the "so called secret isle". I have been shopping in that area in the store for years. Seems like any parking space is far from the front door, only criticism.β
βItβs a local grocery store but better. They have hot food. I go regularly to get the soup which is delicious. Also, on Tuesdays they gave gumboβ¦itβs a must try.β
βIs the food good here? Yes. Is the food very spicy? Yes!!!! I would enjoy the food more if it weren't very spicy. Had fufu for the first time and dipped it into the food. It was quite nice. It's a grocery store with no frills but they have a following. Next time I go I will see if they can cut down on the hot spices.β
βIt's been a long time since I've been to this Walts. Good prices. Staff is friendly. It was nice seeing a lot of the staff from the old South Holland store.β

βI love the new look and set up of products. Their prices are still reasonable and on point. The aisles are wider and easier to navigate. There handicap parking spaces are sufficient. The only thing they lack are electrical rolling carts with baskets for people with disabilities. They had one cart stuffed deep in a corner, surrounded by boxes. It was not accessible for use. I don't know if this was due to the fact that it didn't work. If that is the case, I hope that it is quickly rectified and two more are added.β
