Grocery Stores
“Good selection of fresh produce, meats, organic grocery items, and healthy options overall. There is a section with items that are "here today, gone tomorrow" that I feel always has some items worth checking out, whether seasonal or going out of stock.
I usually bring my reusable bag and put my items in there, but if I forget it I can usually find an empty box on the shelf or in one of their carts that I can use to put my items in to save on plastic waste and buying a bag from them. Super convenient and great for the environment.
Good selection of meats and fruit, especially if you want something locally grow. Prices fluctuate but they seem reasonable to me in comparison for the quality of items you're getting.
I will say the self checkouts rolling out at many of the Aldi's are game changers. Otherwise, the lines can get pretty ridiculous and, besides holidays, I don't think I've ever seen more than two lanes open at a time at ANY Aldi from Illinois to Indiana. Other than that, I love going to Aldi for the prices, quality of ingredients, and the "here today, gone tomorrow" section!!!
P.S. there is a section in most Aldi locations with items from gardening to shoes to blankets to coloring books. Great finds in there too!!!”
“The store was remodeled and looked much better. I no longer live in the area and have been gone for years now. I was impressed compared to the way the store used to look. The only thing I had an issue with was the cashier. I feel she needs to work on her customer service skills. Otherwise I would still recommend this place and I will come back if I'm in the area.”
“Very clean! They definitely stand behind the 'FRESH' in fresh market! There meat department is the best! Friendly and if there is something you don't see, just ask. They will go out of there way to get you what your looking for and just the way you want it. There fruits and veggies are all fresh and there is a good selection. I highly recommend going if you haven't been, they don't disappoint!”
“?? family been going here since the early 80s I remember. Still no whistling being disgusting or nothing ever. Love love love peace sanitary joy Christ ✝️. Schindler's List easy ?️”
“La Loma is my favorite Mexican grocery store! They have carnitas on the weekends which are incredible. I also love to stop here for their guacamole, pico de gallo, tortillas, & limes. Would definitely recommend checking them out!”
“Very friendly atmosphere. There produce are always fresh and there prices are the cheapest in the neighborhood. Tacos are only $3 fresh and they are filled with meat.”
“Thank you so much for Country Squires help I have not had Marconi bread in around 45 years they sent me some to California been eatingon it ever since last week. Can’t wait to order again..”
“To me there shelves not stock .like it use to be. And its not the dollar tree no more that $1.25 CENT STORE. I USE TO STOCK UP MY LINEN CLOSET. NOW ITS. LESS FULL. THAT WHITE HOUSE NEED TO WAKE UP WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES NEED INCREASE EVERYTHING GOING UP NOT OUR CHECKS .”
“I believe pleasant time today. Majority was in stock. Some items not in stock had similar more affordable price. Older white cashier w/ glasses gave me 30 something cents, because I was short. I think some coko complete stranger Latina came by me @ the register whistling. Poor things think they have to worship the devil for attention.”
“One of the greatest treasures of the Chicagoland area. Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere, everything. Can’t give enough praises, get the sausage and a Guido Special and you’ll be set for life. I love you, D&D.”
