Groomies
1225 N La Salle Dr, ChicagoWe have been using Groomies for almost 2 years now and they take wonderful care of our pup, Bogey. He has seen multiple groomers (we never specify) and he always looks great when he's done. We were on a waiting list for a while to get in, but now that we are repeat clients, it is very easy to book (usually via text, 2-4 weeks out depending on time of year), and they book by time slot so your pet isn't hanging around in a cage all day waiting for their turn. They always text when he's around 15 minutes from being done. Bogey is always relaxed any happy when he comes home, which is a triumph for a pup who doesn't like much to be groomed. Everyone is always a pleasure to interact with - I wouldn't hesistate to recommend Groomies!

She gets every loose hair out, leaves her coat soft as teddy bear smelling amazing, and she is super quick even with the breaks my pup needs. My puppy is visibly relieved and happy afterwards (photos are all from post bath walk home) .Very easy to get to, super clean place and they are on top of the time frame they give you. Healing Tails Chicago Pet Rehabilitation and Acupuncture
1921 S Archer Ave, ChicagoI took my 15 y/o Dachshund here for general physical function optimization and to work on some residual functional issues from IVDD surgery a few years ago. His mobility and strength really improved with his rehabilitation with Alexis and Dr. Ariel. They also taught me how to do his PT at home which we were very consistent with. About two months after we graduated from rehab, my dog had a stroke and some of his weakness from IVDD came back. But I amped up the PT that I learned from Healing Tails and now 3 months later he’s back to normal. This place is just wonderful, they care deeply about animals, and they are truly experts in what they do. The techniques they teach you also go far beyond the sessions you have with them and can benefit your dog for their whole life! Highly recommend.

Animal House of Chicago
2752 W Lawrence Ave Unit #3, ChicagoI took my almost 12-year-old Siamese kitty to Animal House yesterday for a checkup. I'm embarrassed to admit that he had not been to a vet since 2018 - 6 years ago! I had previously taken my pets to Blum in Lakeview, where I lived until the fall of 2018, and just hadn't gotten around to finding a new vet in Lincoln Square before COVID hit, which caused many clinics (including Animal House, I think) to limit their services to only emergency cases for a while. Anyway, I appreciated that the staff at Animal House were not judgmental at all towards me when I contacted them to establish care for my cat after 6 years. Both during the appointment booking, and the appointment itself, all the staff I encountered were kind and professional. They mentioned what kind of tests they thought he should have but checked with me before running them, which is more than I can say for some money-hungry clinics I've been to in the past who do a whole lot of tests without telling you and you don't find out until you get the bill. The clinic was clean and not nearly as noisy as many vet clinics are. I also appreciated the Feliway-sprayed towels Animal House offers to help calm your pets while they're there. I'm pleased with the service Tino and I received and will return to Animal House again to establish care for my other kitty.

Back To Basics Dog Training
3232 N Elston Ave, ChicagoWenz is absolutely amazing! We are so thankful we did the behavioral modification training for our Golden Retriever pup that was going through her teenage phase. I highly recommend working with Wenz, who has a great understanding of how to train dogs at all ages with a loving, caring and gentle attitude. She has a lot of great tricks for barking and leash pulling. She helped us come up with alternatives whenever our pup was being stubborn or biting the leash in public places. As the dog parents, we also learned so much and we developed a stronger relationship with our pup. The best part was learning how to properly leash walk our puppy as well as how she should greet visitors. It’s so easy to walk our pup now around the neighborhood and she’s a lot calmer when we have friends over. We would definitely do it all over again.

The Catcade - Cat Cafe & Rescue
624 W Belmont Ave, ChicagoGreat experience!! One of the better cat cafes I’ve visited. $20 ticket per person for one hour, waiver signature required. Staff is very knowledgeable and caring, was told about 15 cats get adopted each week. You get a complimentary beverage of choice (you must take it when you enter, not when you leave).
Many of the cats during my visit were very young kittens. Super cute — some were playful, some wanted to sleep, and some were very cuddly (they want to sit in your lap).
There are arcade games, but I didn’t see anyone play them. Honestly, if a cat chooses your lap to sit in, it’s hard to move after that! Overall, fun experience and supports a good cause!!
