Viceroy Chicago is an amazing, modern hotel in a superior downtown location close to Rush Street, within walking distance of many stores and tourist stops. Many guests describe it as absolutely the most amazing hotel in Chicago with the best staff and hospitality, noting the entire staff is fantastic, attentive, welcoming, and provides impeccable service. The hotel is modern and clean with all the amenities, including comfy beds, a large bathroom, a mini bar, and stunning lake views. The rooftop pool and restaurant/bar offer great views and food, with a stellar beverage program and innovative events like the spirited dinner series. However, some guests experienced issues. The valet service can be difficult to locate with no signs, sometimes requiring guests to block traffic, and staff is not always there. There have also been communication issues with the concierge regarding pre-arranged amenities. A minor complaint from some is that rooms can run hot despite air conditioning settings. Still, many highlight outstanding, seamless valet service and staff members who go above and beyond to make stays stress-free and special, contributing to a wonderful, five-star experience for many visitors.
This place was really beautiful. Rooms were incredibly clean and I absolutely loved the ambience. The beds were also incredibly comfortable.

We had a quick end-of-the-summer getaway to Chicago and chose to stay at the Viceroy. The hotel was beautiful, the location was central, and we could walk everywhere from there. It was the perfect space for our getaway. We also did in-room dining, and the food was delicious and the staff was very helpful.

The facility is nice, but the top notch service is what makes it special. Would happily stay here again.
