“Brought in coins from my dad’s collection. I tried to find out the cost of coins on my own and was overwhelmed. Then didn’t even know how to begin to sell them. Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.”

“This place was amazing. It was so good that I wanted it to rate it infinite amount of stars. He gives the best discounts, tons of model options to choose and some of the best model planes that I have ever seen. The plane models were preassembled and such in good shape and quality. If this was your first time here, he will ask you if you gotten a safety card from a flight. Highly recommended! Go to this shop in your free time. This place is the best and now my new happy place.”
“Rich's collectibles has a wide selection of many different collectibles and the owner is very friendly too. It's the perfect spot to find gifts for yourself or others at a great deal! Prices are very fair! Will be back again!”
“So happy I visited here! It's the perfect stop for wall-to-wall horror memorabilia and horror art from real local artists. Best of all, the staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about horror movies as well. Looking forward to my next visit!”
“This has been my longtime favorite LCS, but Marc went above and beyond recently when he helped organize a week of educational programming for high school students, including a loan of some Roman coins for the week. I am very thankful for his help and will be a customer for life. You should be too, go visit this awesome shop!!”
“Nice store to visit, the guys at the front desk were very friendly and open to questions. Excited to hear they will be moving to a new location that'll be much bigger! And it'll only be a couple mins away. If you get a chance to, come and drop by this shop and support them!”
“Knights Edge is phenomenal! Not only are there many stellar pieces to look at, but Norman and Miriam go above and beyond by making this store an immersive experience. They were also very kind and helpful and answered all our questions (since we were first time purchasers).Again, I highly highly highly recommend this store, especially if you want to buy unique products/gifts and have fun while doing it!”

“a great neighborhood jewel of a store. jane has loads of yarns, beautiful canvases and runs fun classes. always helpful employees (thanks, deb!) and the finishing on every project i've done has been perfect. a sweet spot to check out new needlepoint finds.”
“Excellent staff and fun buying experience! I bought a couple select hobby boxes and they gave me some free cards as well! I ripped them in store with Tim and had a great time. Prices for hobby and retail are very reasonable and they have a great selection of vintage basketball cards. Definitely coming back!”
“A little gem hidden off the main roads. This place is a lovely little hobby shop, but there are some challenges. It once was a storefront in Evanston, but since moving to its current location, I can see how it could be missed if you are not looking for it. So no sidewalk traffic. BUT for those of us who know it's there, we get all the goodies to ourselves. I do feel that some things don't get restocked because there's so much product in one space, and it may appear that they're trying to sell off all the things they already have, BUT there are things here you won't find at other stores, especially if you are into miniatures and dollhouses.Luckily I don't live far, so I try to swing by everytime I need something. The hours are a bit weird for those of us who work all day, but that's not a deal breaker. Nice staff, quality stuff. Worth the trip, just keep in mind you'll buy stuff you didn't even know you needed or wanted. I rarely leave without spending at least $75. Go visit- looking at all the things is an activity alone.I can't wait to have a daughter someday so I can build a custom dollhouse.”
“Where to start with Magic Inc. One word, GREAT!!!I love magic, but it's hard and expensive and takes skills, right. Well, yeah. (full disclosure, I am a beginner with magic, and this is the second magic store I have been to, for what it is worth...)But, if you are in Chicago and want to dip your toes into this skill, magic, you have to go to Magic Inc. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular just to hang out and learn from the staff and clients.Even if you just want to go to an incredibly awesome store, head to Magic Inc. No intimidation here what so ever!Friendly and professional staff that just happen to be magicians! Wow.Just walk in, say you want to learn a little about magic, and you will see some amazing things that you just might walk out with. I went in for two decks of cards and left with a great 'how to' book and two other tricks that I, a beginning magician, could do (at least my great neices think so...)Thanks, Pedro, for making my visit incredible! Can't wait to get back for another visit - Magic Inc. is, well, magical!!!”
“My husband and i sort of wandered in (i didn't think it was open since you can't tell from the street) but we got buzzed in and WOW was it worth it, an amazing collection, some of which my husband recognized from his childhood with plenty of toys and models with all sorts of themes. GREAT stock of Horror stuff and a super friendly lady at the counter. We will absolutely be back, this place is a hidden gem and well worth the trip on a rainy Satuday afternoon.”
“This is a great spot if you are interested in coin collecting. We had coins to sell and Lucas helped us both times we were in the store. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and kind. He shares information and offers fair prices. We will be back.”
“This store is magical and amazingt My mother's Annie Wynn Mickens had this beautiful 1950 Baby Doll that loved.
Her name is Baby Annie. My mother love love her so much.I took Baby Annie today to get her hair service. And I pick up some jewelry and some beautiful outfits to add to her collection. My mom went home to be with Lord so I will take good care of Baby Annie!!”

“I had an excellent time visiting their store. The owner/staff was very kind to chat with me about current baseball. I found the exact card I was looking for. They have a wide selection of great athletes... including many Chicago favorites. I was amazed at their jersey displays. Lastly I'll mention the authenticated Babe Ruth signed baseball. Go see it before it's gone!! They have great jersey packs as well. Support local business ?”
“This place is awesome! It is the best hidden secret of a bead store in Chicago for gems and other beads. Truly gorgeous products (all kinds of real gemstones that I wanted to buy them all) and Anna and Diana are lovely people who are so helpful and kind. Glad to support this woman owned business. Love love love their new space and look forward to going back! This special shop should not be missed!”
“Absolutely love this shop! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, everything is beautifully organized and fairly easy to reach and see. I appreciated that they paid attention to what I was getting so they could direct me on where to find similar types of thread. I'm still learning a lot, and I learn something new every time I go!”
“Incredible shop, something for every level collector. You will not leave empty handed. The clerk it knowledgeable and willing to advise if needed. If your looking for something extremely specific I would call first a few days before so he can set it aside, at times they are busy. And cannot hunt the very rare and obscure. None the less I love the shop but no longer live in the state.”
“This was a great end to a tragic loss my husband passed a few months ago and he had gold coins I thought weren't worth very much well I was mistaken to my surprise”
“Been all over the Chicagoland area in and out of sports cards/memorabilia shops throughout the years. I'll say Elite Cards is top of the line. When I say "top of the line", I mean both Ronnie & Gary buy-sell-trade with integrity. Wealth of knowledge in the industry. It's not just about making a "sale" with these guys, they're in it because they love what they do! A lot of shops I've been too, I've always picked up on the used car salesman vibe but not here. Straight shooters, no sugar coating, and or over inflating value on products they have. Simply tell them what you're trying to accomplish and they'll help you get there! Thanks guys!”
“Best GameStop I’ve ever been to. Deonte is a lovely gentlemen, and always accommodates me. He’s a nice guy — he knows the products and he’s personable, and kind to customers — even little ones!”
“Great guys there that know a lot, especially Gary. My trucks servo broke the 1st day and I brought it back in and Gary installed a new servo that was better quality. Works awesome now!”

“We went to Archie's to see if they were interested in a variety of items we wanted to sell. The entire experience was excellent and conducted with clarity, great communication, and professionalism. Their offers were fair, and they explained why certain things were not valued as we may have expected. We felt very comfortable there and recommend it others looking for their services.”
“Grant is awesome! There are tons of comics and he knew exactly what boxes to look for when you ask him what you are looking for. Be prepared to stay for more than an hour and bring your money. It's worth the trip!”

“So I stop off here the other day after the gym and ask if Michael's working. They said after an overly long and awkward pause, he's... off today.... The mystery continues”
“I stopped in Michael's this evening to get some supplies for a Halloween party. The woman who helped me at the register was the one of the KINDEST HUMANBEINGS I HAVE MET. She had a goofy sense of humor, was incredibly helpful, and truly MADE MY DAY. I hope she reads this, thank you for being you, I hope the Boston Orioles have fantastic season next year!”
“I have been there many times and have received the same service. Absolutely amazing. My framed art work has changed my living situation and I owe it to Blicks framing studio. However I must say something, two people went out of their way to succeed at being the utmost in the way of kind service. Their names I will mention because I think they are special. Teresa and Hailey. Thanks for excellent service and color coordination on my artwork, framed now and permanently awesome to look at. ?”
