“Oh boy, was this a swell experience. I came in wanting new wiper blades and was met with the most helpful smile in any aisle - a man by the name “King Julian.” Not only did he help me find the appropriate wiper blades, he also personally installed them despite the cold, dreary weather and the police helicopter soaring overheard during the Granite City Manhunt of the century. One might generally feel unsafe with the dozens of cop cars speeding past every few minutes, but not I, for I had my own personal security. Thank you, Cotton’s Ace Hardware, this will not be an experience I soon forget.”
“One of the main bolts on my wheelchair came out and I couldn’t use it all. My friend recommended I bring it here as someone would help me fix it, she was right! They took a look at the wheelchair, found the bolt it needed, and fixed it for me! All for 80 cents! Could you imagine how expensive that would be if I found a repair place? Love this place. They are so great.”

“Was looking for a gasket that would fit on the end of a 1910 bathtub waste tube. They initially said that there was nothing like that in the store but before I walked out they stopped me and said well let's look at what we might have. Found something that worked had to be a little creative with it but they put in the effort and solved my problem.”

“This location was packed last week for the end of April... but they had beautiful flowers and a wide assortment of mulch. I prefer to go to the smaller floral shops for actual plants, but I needed to come here for peat moss that they didn't carry elsewhere. Although it was busy the self check out went relatively quick. Overall pleased with the experience.”

“The staff are very kind and accommodating with their willingness to help though I would thoroughly check any lumber that you're purchasing as it is very hard to find a straight board nowadays. If you order ahead and request a pickup order then who knows what quality you will get. I had to go searching through numerous boards in order to find a small amount of straight or slightly curved manageable boards with a variety of sizes. The store is good but I am very upset with the quality of Wood nowadays. It is sad to say that you cannot find a straight board. The tool selection and everything else is good and fairly priced with a nice selection to choose from.”
“had a great experience with Oh So in the paint department. I was standing there going through all of the colors completely undecided, and he came over and within two minutes helped me narrow everything down. He asked the right questions and quickly guided me to the perfect color.
He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the whole process. Instead of rushing me, he made sure I felt confident about the choice and explained the different options in a way that was easy to understand.
Great customer service like that really stands out. If you need help in the paint department, I definitely recommend asking for Oh So. He made the whole experience quick, easy, and stress-free. I don’t know how he spells his name maybe it’s Oso, but to me, he is, Oh So handsome, Oh So kind and Oh So smoove!”

“We woke up to our air conditioner not working this morning, so after a few self test and a little googling I came to the conclusion I needed a start/run capacitor. I called Pace Hardware and the young lady who answered confirmed they tested and carried capacitors. They tested mine said it was bad and had the replacement, we’re back in business! Thank You!
