“We woke up to our air conditioner not working this morning, so after a few self test and a little googling I came to the conclusion I needed a start/run capacitor. I called Pace Hardware and the young lady who answered confirmed they tested and carried capacitors. They tested mine said it was bad and had the replacement, we’re back in business! Thank You! Granite City is fortunate to have a full service hardware store with knowledgeable staff.”

“Oh boy, was this a swell experience. I came in wanting new wiper blades and was met with the most helpful smile in any aisle - a man by the name “King Julian.” Not only did he help me find the appropriate wiper blades, he also personally installed them despite the cold, dreary weather and the police helicopter soaring overheard during the Granite City Manhunt of the century. One might generally feel unsafe with the dozens of cop cars speeding past every few minutes, but not I, for I had my own personal security. Thank you, Cotton’s Ace Hardware, this will not be an experience I soon forget.”

“One of the main bolts on my wheelchair came out and I couldn’t use it all. My friend recommended I bring it here as someone would help me fix it, she was right! They took a look at the wheelchair, found the bolt it needed, and fixed it for me! All for 80 cents! Could you imagine how expensive that would be if I found a repair place? Love this place. They are so great.”

“Beaver Industrial ROCKS! I called in to get an order put together and Matt took amazing care of my needs! They had everything in stock and ready to ship, save the for wheels that are on backorder (which is not their fault). When I tell you these guys ship fast... My entire multi-machine order, which took up 2 pallets and required liftgate service, was delivered the NEXT day!! Amazing turnaround time. One of the friendliest, easiest, and quickest tooling and equipment order experiences I've ever had. Will order from them again in the future!”

“Was looking for a gasket that would fit on the end of a 1910 bathtub waste tube. They initially said that there was nothing like that in the store but before I walked out they stopped me and said well let's look at what we might have. Found something that worked had to be a little creative with it but they put in the effort and solved my problem.”

“Will help and answer any questions you have the worker that answered all my questions was Doug great guy I'll definitely be going back over the big stores I'd rather have a worker come ask me if I need help and not have to wonder around a big store looking for someone to ask a question and get attitude instead of the smile I got from every worker I passed here.”

“I went to Harbor Freight store -Chippewa Store: I am a business owner and I frequent the store...today was the 1st time I ever had a issue. I purchased two car jacks that were on sale the cashier was very nice, she told the manager that she needed them and he told her that they were heavy why didn't I grab them? He paused for a while 3 to 5 minutes then he went to the back and put both jacks on a dolly...he bought it to the register and just left it there...he did not help me, put them in the truck he just walked away....He was not friendly or helpful and he was very rude...I don't know why but his actions, made me never want to come in your stores again...I loaded my jacks myself and I left..Time 9:30 am 04-20-26”

“This location was packed last week for the end of April... but they had beautiful flowers and a wide assortment of mulch. I prefer to go to the smaller floral shops for actual plants, but I needed to come here for peat moss that they didn't carry elsewhere. Although it was busy the self check out went relatively quick. Overall pleased with the experience.”

“Ms Jackson out in gardening was so helpful today. I hope this review gets to her. I was waiting on a loader to load my car with a screwdriver and she said “let me see if I have one in my car” so we didn’t have to wait. That is going above and beyond for your customers, and I just wanted her to know that I appreciate her!”
