“Well, it's Ace Hardware... It's not like the Ace Hardware of years gone by. Like most retail establishments, the employees don't seem as knowledgeable as they did years ago. But, they do have a good enough selection to get you through any kind of household emergency that you might run into. It's a little pricier than, say a Menards or Home Depot; but, it is convenient. So, you might pay a little more; but, it costs you less in gas than to drive to Menards or Home Depot, so in the long run, it's not really any more expensive.
I was going to give them 5 stars; but, their employees are about as knowledgeable as the people working at Menards or Home Depot. That is, they know where to find something in the store; but, most of them don't know what half the stuff they sell is for, or how it's used. Just my observation.”

“Good morning! I wanted to say yesterday I went to antioch store to see carolyn about my bulldogges severe allergies. I was in tears and feeling hopeless .The store was packed the entire team busy friendly doing their thing and carolyn was able to take the time with me and find the best solution in dog food for my Winston! Then I went to check out the young cashier also was able to tell me the best outta 3 creams for Winston's feet she used on her dobe..the best was their was at least 8 people in line watching me in tears feeling defeated ALL giving me their support and courage things will get better! .I am a manager of a family owned grocery store and this is how I want our store to be... what a team you have in Antioch and ill be forever grateful for all of them .CAROLYN thank you !”

“I recently needed to pick up an online order, and although there was a hiccup with locating my item, the experience turned out to be remarkably positive thanks to the cashier who assisted me. Upon arrival, when the item wasn’t immediately found, the cashier promptly had someone also check another location and was extremely courteous, apologizing for the wait.
Throughout the process, she was not only professional but also proactive—at the first sign the item could not be found, she started reassuringly explaining the next steps. The store manager stepped in to assist, but it was the cashier’s initiative and clear communication that really stood out.
Ultimately, I decided to wait for the item to be delivered, and the way this situation was handled by the cashier left me impressed. She made what could have been a frustrating experience very manageable. She is a credit to Ace Hardware and exemplifies the type of service that builds customer loyalty. She definitely has a bright future ahead. Thank you!”

“Been coming here for years. Sometimes everyday for a week. Staff has always been great at w answering questions. Cant beat the prices or warranties, and the quality of the products is higher than you would expect. Sammy helped me out at the register the other day and he was very good at making sure we knew about the current and upcoming deals, as well as the free gifts they sometimes give out to Inside Club Members. Really happy to have one close to home. Will be coming here probably for the rest of my life.”

“The place to go when you need common annuals, bushes, or trees. Great sales after the main planting season has passed.
Also the place for Simpson Strong Tie connectors which are the thing to use in construction.
They also carry manila rope handy for lashings projects.”
“I inadvertently ordered the wrong color, despite saving some money due to a free shipping coupon. I contacted Koffler and spoke with Heide, who offered for me to return the product and order the correct color.
It was my error and there would be additional cost to return it, so I decided to keep what I ordered and maybe find a place to use that while waiting for another free shipping coupon.
Heide felt bad that I ordered the wrong product the first time and posted a note to herself to let me know the next time there was a free shipping coupon. When that occurred, Heide reached out to me, not once, but twice so I was able to take advantage of the free shipping. Who does that?
Heide and the others I spoke with at Koffler were very nice to speak with and I complimented Heide to her manager, Ron.

“We were looking for a refrigerator. Went to Lowes then four other stores including the two main competitors. We decided on a model Menards had but just before buying my son googled and found the same fridge on sale $400 cheaper at Lowes. Plus they had a $50 off on purchases over $500. The other placed wouldn’t deliver on Sunday but Lowe’s said it would. The salesman was super friendly. Great experience and saved a bundle. And that a pretty “cool” deal.”

“Only reason why I give Home Depot 4/5 Stars is due to their unwillingness (on a corporate level) to accept NFC Payments (Apple Pay, etc.).
For the record… at this point, ALL three of Home Depot’s direct big-box competitors; Lowe’s, Menards, and Ace Hardware; accept Apple Pay. HD is one of the few-remaining retail companies who continue to take this stubborn stance.
I know this is a corporate issue, but it’s still a bit ridiculous that there are places where I can’t pay with my digital wallet in 2024.
Otherwise, great selection, clean store, and friendly service. The usual to be expected at HD. ?”
