“Even though Some things can be far and higher than most of your food store. S the selection is beyond compare, especially with produce, it is a fantastic store. It has a fantastic Delhi meat department has everything you can imagine carries just about every single brand their sales are really, really good and they have hot food there too, like 2 or 3 different sections of hot food. I've never had to have a complaint about the place.Very super clean , it would be amazed at how much they have there and how good everything is”
“The store was remodeled and looked much better. I no longer live in the area and have been gone for years now. I was impressed compared to the way the store used to look. The only thing I had an issue with was the cashier. I feel she needs to work on her customer service skills. Otherwise I would still recommend this place and I will come back if I'm in the area.”

“Good selection of fresh produce, meats, organic grocery items, and healthy options overall. There is a section with items that are "here today, gone tomorrow" that I feel always has some items worth checking out, whether seasonal or going out of stock.
I usually bring my reusable bag and put my items in there, but if I forget it I can usually find an empty box on the shelf or in one of their carts that I can use to put my items in to save on plastic waste and buying a bag from them. Super convenient and great for the environment.
Good selection of meats and fruit, especially if you want something locally grow. Prices fluctuate but they seem reasonable to me in comparison for the quality of items you're getting.
I will say the self checkouts rolling out at many of the Aldi's are game changers. Otherwise, the lines can get pretty ridiculous and, besides holidays, I don't think I've ever seen more than two lanes open at a time at ANY Aldi from Illinois to Indiana. Other than that, I love going to Aldi for the prices, quality of ingredients, and the "here today, gone tomorrow" section!!!
P.S. there is a section in most Aldi locations with items from gardening to shoes to blankets to coloring books. Great finds in there too!!!”

“Pretty clean. Easy to find what I went there for, Cookies! They also had a very thick glaze on top of cinnamon rolls, so I picked those up as well. Only disappointing item was the off-brand Ho Ho's, very very small in comparison to any others.”

“I used to go to the one off Cicero because I'm literally around the corner, but I've found myself preferring making the minor detour as the staff is just more approachable at times I guess? They also seem to carry more rare finds, or keep the things I purchase frequently in stock. It's also much easier to get out of as there are multiple exits and traffic lights to keep traffic flowing all directions.”

“My husband had a hankering for a libation to pair with his homemade bbq made for Mother's Day. He was able go promptly choose from their selection (a newer offering from Budweiser) and was out in a jiffy. The area is a bit scruffy so stay on point, keep the dillying and dallying to a minimum and you should be all good.”

“I only come to Fairplay for the sales and It's usually well stocked. Went there for the so-called sale on oxtails. Asked a (butcher?) if they were trimmed down too much. The reply was "They have to get trimmed sweetheart." First, I hate when a condescending tone is aimed at me. Second, when too much fat is trimmed from oxtails, the cooking method is altered to insure tenderness. Lastly, whatever happened to real butchers? Not just people who work in the meat department.”

“My neighbor hood go to for deli meals! You can can count on them to hook you up with the best deli meal specials whenever you need a variety meal that taste so good! Like omg I’m 31 going on 32 and I never had bones in my meal that just melt off into the bone gris where the bone is so soft to chew and eat with the whole meal. “Grew up in Blue Island in 1962. Always a stop when I visit Blue Island alot in past if I come to town for church Sundays from Highland.Indiana. Lost a deli little grocery store here in Highland. Indiana. This is a small like grocery store very clean love hot foods and the deli counter in the back has outstanding sandwiches to order from a very friendly young man from the south part of United States. He's only in his late 30 maybe early 40s looks very young slim. Family here at Danny's very friendly always buy beer here.Come over always weekday to take Metra downtown Chicago. Stopped coming to Blue Island more and more when covid started in 2020.I have since hardly if at all come back stopped going on train to Chicago in 2020. Family his other employees joke laugh with me like family here like this. Sometimes rarely everyone serious here but the little store very nice, nestled in a eastside neighborhood. Miss seeing alot Metra railroad workers come talk them waiting sandwich about trains, people relative I knew worked Metra and I bring up politics with them the problems of Chicago. Dan Native. The woman who runs it reminds me of my grandmother, she’s always so nice and welcoming. I have tried many Nigerian food spots and now of them even comes close to her superb cooking skills.
