My wife, Pat, went to make a purchase at L.L. Bean this morning but had to park a block away because you are now charging for what used to be free parking
She texted 3 photos of the nearly empty parking lot adjacent to where she wanted to shop.
I believe you are doing your tenants a disservice.
The majority of the public will be changing their shopping habits and go elsewhere to make their purchases.
That is why we do not shop in downtown Chicago or anywhere is Chicago where they charge for street parking
Locksmiths, dry cleaners, small restaurants, novelty shops etc on Chicago streets have suffered financial loss because their customers will not pay for parking and end up shoping elsewhere
More and more people are shopping on line and charging for parking at shopping centers makes this option even more convenient and affordable
2nd Message to Oakbrook Management:
My wife did park elsewhere and walk to L.L. Bean to make a return. She said the sales staff were very unhappy about the charge for parking, the parking lot was almost vacant and they had very few customers.
My wife told them that in the future she will order on line.
After shopping she would normally have lunch with her friends at one of your restaurants but because of the parking issue decided to go elsewhere for lunch”

“I feel like Macy's has made improvements over the past several years, there was a time when it was a bit of a mess and akin to Kohl's with everything always on sale. It's looking and feeling better now. I did notice on a recent trip that the men's dress clothing section has dramatically decreased - the tie selection isn't what it used to be. On a second recent trip I needed an analog wrist watch that met some very specific requirements and was under $100 and the sales lady in the watch section really stepped up to help, even though it was a small purchase in comparison to most of the other watches there. Not only did she find me exactly what I needed, she provided me with options and double checked the product information online to make sure it met my needs.”
