“I had been looking for a new pair of shoes and never professionally had my foot correctly sized so had always just been buying a size or 2 bigger depending on the brand because of how wide my foot is and stores usually not carrying wider sizes in store.
Art was extremely helpful and polite in Golden Shoes and I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a new pair of shoes.

“We went into the Orland Square location today to find an outfit for my husband for our daughter’s wedding. We were greeted by Omar, and he treated us with such kindness. He was kind, patient and so, so helpful. I had a bit of a meltdown too, and he brought me a box of tissues and took care of me. The store had an excellent selection for big and tall men and is my husbands new favorite. The store was great, but, Omar was just exceptional and made our visit truly special.”

“I hurried home just so I can write a review on the wonderful Olivia! She was pleasant, patient, a multi-tasker, superb communication skills and excellent customer service. The store was super crowded and she had coworkers but they were not of any service. She ended up helping about 4 of us simultaneously and got us all fitted and out in under 10 minutes! Wow! I would hope she is the store manager, if not then she needs a promotion!”

“Had to exchange shoes for a different size that we received as a gift. The people were quick, friendly and knowledgeable and offered to exchange with no problem. Since shoe size was not in stock they ordered them from the warehouse to be delivered to my home at no charge since I already made the trip to the store once. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Nice!”

“Went shopping today for an outfit for the weekend. I am 10 months post partum after having two babies back to back. Words can’t describe how badly I was dreading going shopping with how badly I feel about my body right now. Victoria approached me and was just this big ball of light, she was so sweet, listened to my needs, was pulling out different pieces that would go well together, and just had such a wonderful energy to her. She’s just one of those nice people that can make your day probably without even realizing her impact. Very kind person, happy to have met her today and worked with her”
“I had such an incredible experience here and just had to share.
Last Friday, while trying on clothes in the fitting room, the diamond from my engagement ring fell out without me realizing it. I didn’t notice until I was almost home and immediately panicked. The next day, I returned to the store hoping—though not very confidently—that someone might have found it.
To my absolute surprise, the manager, Deedee, had found it while sweeping the fitting rooms. She told me she almost tossed it aside thinking it might be fake, but thankfully decided to tuck it into her pocket instead. Just a few minutes later, I walked in to ask about it. She immediately returned it to me and explained what had happened.
My husband and I were beyond grateful. After having the diamond checked at the jeweler, we came back to thank her again and offered to send her a gift card—but she kindly declined and simply asked that I leave her a good review if I received a survey email. Since I didn’t receive one, I’m posting this here instead.
This also isn’t the first time Deedee has gone above and beyond. Every time I shop here, she’s consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Last week, my daughter and I went to pick up our online order at Carter’s, and we had such a great experience! We needed to make some returns and exchanges, and the young lady who helped us was amazing—super kind, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable.
Customer Service & Shopping Experience:
• She gave great advice on sizing, explaining the difference between 3T and 3A, and even suggested sizing up for longer wear.
• She helped me return and reorder items efficiently, making sure I left with the perfect fit for my daughter.
• While she was fantastic, I have run into staff members in the past who weren’t as helpful, which is the only reason for the 4/5 rating.
Store & Atmosphere:
• The store is clean and well-organized.
• They have a kids’ coloring table, which is such a thoughtful touch to keep little ones entertained while shopping.
• There is parking available, making it an easy stop for parents on the go.
Product Quality & Value:
• High-quality materials—worth every penny, especially during their sales.
• My daughter LOVES their pajamas—super soft and comfortable.
• Their two-piece sets are a game-changer, making mornings effortless and keeping outfits cute and practical.
Final Thoughts:
Despite occasional mixed experiences with staff, this Carter’s location is still a go-to for us. The clothing quality, convenience, and thoughtful touches (like the coloring table) make shopping enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back and hoping to run into the same amazing employee who helped us this time!

“Seriously, it's a hidden gem. Like home Depot, but better organized. Staff was always available (cough HD not) for each of my visits. You can order online and pickup or delivery. I even had a problem with an item description. It was manufacturers fault, I didn't know. The store manager told me what to do to help me get what the advertisement promised, and it worked. Literally $200 difference. Good prices, more of a selection than you'd think.”
