βI would like to share the experience I had at our local Whitmore Ace Hardware.
9/5/26: We recently had our roof and skylight replaced on our home. It was up to me to fix the drywall and caulk around the new skylight. I went to my local Whitmore Ace Hardware and told Mikey what I was working on. Mikey took me over to the correct aisle and pointed out the putty knife, drywall patch and white caulk that I was looking for. This took less than five minutes at Ace, and I was back on my way home to work on the drywall around the skylight. The drywall and caulking turned out great, and my wife said it looked perfect.
9/13/26: I was working on a project for my daughter’s wedding. I went back to Whitmore Ace Hardware and spoke to Mikey. She helped us brainstorm ideas on what would be the best way to do this project. Mikey came up with a solution that worked perfectly.
Employees like Mikey are why we go to Whitmore Ace Hardware. Our Ace store always has someone available to help you with your issue. I could go to my local Lowes store, but I would never find an employee to help me. In our world of non-existent customer service, it is refreshing to have Mikey at our local Ace store that cares and wants to help the customer. Whitmore Ace has outstanding employees and outstanding customer service.β

βEinstein and David were absolutely wonderful employees who helped us with getting our generator. They helped us with all our questions and helped us load the giant generator into our car in 90 degree heat! Thank you both for taking care of your customers!β

βVisited Lemont Ace hardware today and had a great experience. Zack (assisted mngr) was excellent. We had to have an auto key cut and new fob programmed. He was courteous, thorough, and got the job done. From Zack to the store owner's daughter to the young man who completed my purchase, what a class act. Store was clean and well organized. βA very well stocked supply house both in equipment and commonly used components for service and installation. They also offer many solutions for service for different parts to different manufacturers you would be completely surprised they stock while offering them at a much better price. They also stock some more niche products you would not expect. I will also emphasize everything in this robust product offering is done so with phenomenal pricing. You will be greeted with counter salesman who also have good knowledge about the technical side of the industry which is not common. They are able to advise in many cases what best serves your needs. They are always friendly and operate with a sense of urgency to get your orders fulfilled. Everything from branch, to district to regional management is an excellent experience. I could not suggest a better supply house if you are looking for a dedicated branch specializing in Amana and Goodman products. They treat us as valued customers at all times.β

βHands down the best and most personable rental services Iβve ever used . On a frantic last minute Friday job we needed an excavator rental with delivery within the 2 hours . Ed at rentals and his crew were fast, efficient and friendly . Not only were the prices fair but the machine was in such well tac . Thanks again I will definitely be renting equipment from Burris now on !β

βThee nicest people!! I've loved Menard's as long as I've lived in this area. They treat their employees well, even have profit sharing and it shows. I spoke to Robert in appliances and he was just so helpful. And kind. Helped me on the phone buy a refrigerator, told me exactly how to purchase and pick it up and was personally going to ensure it was available for the time I needed. When do you ever get this kind of customer service anymore? The gal at the gate and the gentleman who brought it out to my car, all were kind of happy. What a pleasure. Thank you!β

βopen to the public, not just to businesses , and if you need a weird item they more than likely have it in there online catalog , found many items that the big box stores would charge a fortune to order or have at a higher price at a decent price .β
βI needed a pipe threader die. The guy that answered the phone asked all the right questions to find out what I needed and told me he should have one in stock. I asked if he would go make sure before I drive 45 miles to get it. He went and checked for me and confirmed that it was what I needed. Very helpful.β
βThis is a business to business supply store also open to general public. Good stock of professional grade tools safety equipment and general stock of items. This store also sells lawn equipment. If you are not buying for a business, This is where you can get tools and supplies that are more heavy duty than you would find a a place like a ace hardware.β
βI have always loved Menards. They have a great variety of products & decent prices. I am a customer for life. They Always have a very Awesome Halloween selection!β
βCame in at 8:45pm tonight, July 24, 2026. Came in to look for paint for stairs as well as some other paint items. The individual that was working the paint area, her name was Remi. Extremely knowledgeable and stuck with us through the entire process which helped our decisions become a lot easier. It was nice to come in and be treated respectfully. Remni, was great, the vibe we got was she is an amazing person. Thank you Remni and thank you Home Depot.β
βOnline order for pickup at the Bolingbrook location went completely sideways with Lowes holding funds totalling about $3000 (order total was actually $800). Also it ended for pickup at Naperville AND Orland Park, through no fault of my own. The Naperville store manager was utterly useless in assisting with these issues, but Tiffany at Bolingbrook took the time to understand what happened (basically each freaking store placed a hold on my account for the order, causing some massive banking issues). She did her best to resolve the issue and even took the time to apologize to my kid who ended up wasting his morning being driven around to multiple Lowes for a few hours. Sucks the order went so sideways, but I appreciate Tiffany's assistanceβ
βI want to thank Eugene for going above and beyond for correcting a huge mistake with my layaway purchase that wasn't available when I came to pick it up. Eugene made my hour plus drive and bad experience into a good experience. If you go here ask for Eugene the manager he will provide you excellent customer service.β

βTried leaving a review on the Lowe's survey site, but I cannot find an ID code in my receipt! So I decided to leave a review here! Ted was exceptionally helpful in flooring, and I went back specifically because of him to order our flooring there! He helped me decide on colors and also gave us lots of info on installation. Purchase process was great! I would highly recommend him!β
βSince this store first opened they have come around full circle. Every project we have hired them to do for us has been spotless. There was a little miscommunication with the luxury flooring as far as them having it sitting when it was suppose to be delivered but that was all worked out and they got us moved up with their installers. We had GS Flooring which is their sub contractor for flooring they use. We had our bathrooms done years ago and now finally got the rest of our first floor completed and it absolutely looks fabulous!! The crew with GS Flooring was so fantastic!! Cannot honestly say enough about them! The guys worked hard and were completely done in 2 days with no messing around. We got the Lifesource Flooring which is Home Depot's exclusive brand. Looks fabulous! I'll post some after pics after everything is all cleaned up and back in place.β
