“You can expect excellent cuts of all meats from this specialty market. At just about any hour, you will encounter other customers waiting to place their order. The line typically moves quickly because of the excellent service from the staff, who are always very helpful and gladly answer questions. Quality pulls in the business. Of special mention - the C.P. Slovenian Smokies, they are made right and really delicious. As a bonus, they stock Milano Potica during the holiday season.. C.P. is our go-to local meat market.”
“I really love this store albeit a bit pricey. I have not tried everything here yet but their pickles are great as well as their sweets ( cookies, chocolate turtles, pumpkin bread, pies, chocolate covered potato chips, etc.) I also bought their fresh turkeys two years in a row and I will tell you they are the best turkeys I ever made. It's nice having a store like this out here- saves me the gas money driving to Indiana. I see a lot of comments about the use of hydrogenated oils on here and I know they are not great for you but keep in mind- moderation is key.”

“Yesterday (Sunday) we made our first visit to Alsalam Market. Ali treated us like family. Tonight we had veggie pitas with some of our homemade hummus lettuce and a vegetable salad thing with black olives. We’re already planning our next meal. Get the local pita and red pepper sauce”
“I chose Brookhaven Market Mokena to cater a large event that I just had. Many of our guests were gluten free due to Celiac Disease, as well as vegan. Brookhaven bent over backwards to assure complete control over possible contamination, as well as working with me every step of the way on vegan choices that would live up to the non-vegan counterparts. The food was FANTASTIC, there was no contamination and the price was very reasonable. At the end of the event, multiple people came to me to inquire as to where I catered from, they we so impressed.
If I am in need of catering, anytime in the future, I will be utilizing Brookhaven for my catering needs!!”
“This is a newer Aldi and I love shopping there. It is always clean inside well laid out and they have either the express registers or you can go to a register and be serviced by a clerk. The price is as usual you just cannot beat”

“All the people that work at the store are super friendly and very helpful in finding things I need I have been going to the store for over 32 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else they have a variety of different types of food and drink non-alcoholic they also have different types of knick knacks stuffed animals they have a variety of different types of everything they do not carry meat like a butcher but there is sandwich meat and stuff like that”

“Aldi's used to be my go-to store.But they no longer carry skim milk in gallons.. I used to get several a week. They are also having trouble keeping shelves stocked with regular items. Also notice price increases that are now higher than regular grocery stores .
I did have trouble with the self checkout overcharging me. The employees were very helpful and got my card credited right away and fixed the problem”

“I've been going to Sunshine mart since I was a teen. I came back to Elwood after 10 years and Matt still remembered my name!?? ? (Nikki) Sam is the best.? A happy friendly guy who always makes me laugh. He'll bend over backwards to help you get what you need. Also, the store mascot Cooper...You can't deny he's a 10/10. ?? This place has been a lot of businesses over the years but Sunshine Mart has been the best. ?”
“I truly like this store! They have different kinds of variety of Mexican food. I especially like their gorditas! Made fresh everyday, especially their dough. They have beans with cheese, asado, and carne molida. It's delicious! (I just wish they would drain the grease from the carne molida. Sometimes it's a bit greasy.) Other than that, it's good food!! I also like their variety of chips and beverages. The owner is very nice and helpful! Also the employees are nice as well. Definitely worth the trip for good and hot Mexican food!”

“I absolutely love this store although I only shop for certain items their produce always looks great and fresh the store is neat clean service is fast and friendly. There are some language barriers with some associates but they are usually able to get a person that can translate if needed. Quality of food items is great and freshly made daily. Hot food options as well. I love their salsa Pico and guacamole always fresh ?”

“Stopped in today and had another great experience. We usually come here to refill our 5-gallon water jugs, and it’s easily the best price in town. Their chicken prices are also some of the best around. Meat in general can be a little expensive everywhere these days, but the quality here is really good so it’s worth it. The staff are always nice, polite, and very helpful whenever we need something. Overall a great local grocery store—I’ll definitely keep coming back!”
“The new owner is a really nice guy who actually cares about his customers more than making money. I saw him myself caring for the kids at gompers and this is the type of business we need! His prices are not very low but low enough for you to get a delicious treat! From ice cream to fresh prep treats that are waay cheaper than most stores. A cup of elite is $2.49.... If you haven't stop pls do so!!!! I hope he stays in the neighborhood for a long time!!!”
