“First time here. Ordered ground beef burrito w/rice and beans, a shredded chicken, a steak, and a pastor taco w/fries. Also ordered the grilled jalapeños and onions. Everything was cooked perfectly. Burrito dinner was good, tacos were pretty good, especially the pastor. Shredded chicken was a little underwhelming but still good. Red sauce is okay, green sauce is good. Would definitely come back!!”
“My MIL got me hooked on this place! We've used their catering business the last two years for my daughter's birthday party. Food and cake is absolutely delicious! Quality is amazing and they put effort into their food & cake decorating. Prices are usually affordable but just this year catering for our daughter's party was a bit much out of our budget (with inflation, prices went up). I still wouldn't discourage it though, prices can fluctuate and we would definitely use their catering again in the future if in our budget ?”

“Ottawa Illinois has two stores the north one near I80 and this one on the south end of town. This store had more selection in the past but the remodel of the north store has changed that. This store is open till 10.”
“Great little grocery store. They have slot machines also. Just be sure to check expiration dates because they are notorious for having out of date items due to lack of customers and not checking items on shelves for awhile.”
“One of the best and I mean Best when I tell you the manager and her crew was so welcoming and so so helpful. I found this store on my way home and I liked the store so much I am willing to travel randomly there because i was treated so well. I love DG one of my most favorite stores ever. And 5this of the many i shop is by far a "10" star .. please recognize these employees and their managers well done”
“Everything was nice and clean the employees were very helpful. Self checkout with wonderful experience with the assistance of the Walmart employee. Deli employees James and Brian were wonderful to work with as we obtained our dinner. Thank you very much Walmart.”

“OMG! The Northside Ottawa Krogers knows how to make the best fried chicken ever! I use to buy it all the time till they changed that recipe on the south side Krogers. It was not good. They did something to the breading. I think they added to it and it was too much. I didn’t like it. A simple flour with egg batter is all you need. Anyway I decided to get a box of it at the Northside of Ottawa illinois. And Wow! They made it like it use to be. Very good! It’s better! Handy Foods is known as better fried chicken and this batch that I bought topped it by far! It is so delicious! I complement the cook here! My husband was very impressed by it also. Keep up the good work Northside Ottawa Krogers! You have fantastic Deli cooks there. Whomever made that Chicken today, ( October 30 2025) deserves a raise!”
