“Good product. Support absolutely sucks. Order arrived and one of the boxes was missing pieces. Tried to chat with support. Couldn't start a chat. Tried to email support. It has been a week and no response. Tried to call and nobody answers the phone. Hours listed on the website say support is available until 7PM EST, but support is MIA.
Was finally able to get in touch wtih support. The person was nice and did send out the needed parts. Raising the review as support did make things right.”

“We had an 23 year old beautiful hunter green leather couch that we needed to replace.We loved that couch. We looked at so many couches at so many different places, and then we went to Smithe"s. Lauren was so pleasant and understanding about our attachment to our old couch. We wanted another green leather couch but the greens were" so not the same". We went back and forth with samples, but couldn't get past the "green" in our heads. She pointed out that the color we finally focused on had a little green undertone and went beautifully with the items in our family room. As I write this, I am relaxing on my beautiful, new couch that is perfect. I know we will have it forever. I 'm so glad that Smithe's has taken my old couch to the Chicago Furniture Depository and someone new can love it.”

“I went to calico corners to redo my luxury vintage sofa. They have a lot of different fabric options and some of them are quite high-end. I worked with a designer but waited until they had a slight discount to purchase and go through the work. It was expense but in the end my sofa came out absolutely wonderful. I would prefer to redo such a high quality sofa and customize the fabric than buy a new, cheap piece of furniture. Will go back for other specialty items that i need redone.”

“World Market is truly a unique store with a plethora of well-crafted items that hold appeal for a wide range of shoppers. From the tactfully-situated furniture pieces to the vegan beard oil, there is truly something for everyone at a feasible price. While perusing the large, refurbished warehouse-style shop, I stopped to assess the quality of multiple items. I felt that in terms of material, stitching, and design in regards to decorative homeware pieces, quality was exemplary- particularly considering that World Market is a large chain / franchise entitity. I also objectively assessed ingredients for a variety of products in the category of soaps, skincare, etc. and can confidently say that there has been much care taken to ensure sustainability and other mindful considerations, which is highly important to me as a shopper. I also appreciated the care with which displays were posed. For example, accessories with delicate/ intricate design targeted towards a more mature audience had front-display signage stating the intentionality of age (12+), as shown in the photos below. Small details such as this have solidified World Market as an excellently-maintained, mindful, holistic shop I will definitely be returning to. Who knows, I may walk in for a bundle of sage and come out with an array of candles and throw pillows instead!”

“I recently purchased a Crate and Barrel gift card as a gift for my nephew. Unfortunately, when he went to use the gift card it had a zero balance on it. He was told that the gift card had already been used…weeks prior to him even receiving it from me.
I phoned the store manager, and she assured me that the situation would be rectified. In less than twenty four hours I received an email with a replacement gift card. Kudos for the amazing staff at Crate and Barrel for rectifying this issue, and for their amazing customer service.”

I called ahead and spoke with a Design Studio Specialist, who we then met with at the store. She went out of her way to help us find exactly what would fit, by providing her with phone photos and dimensions for the space.
