“We used Extra Space Storage on 1255 Townline Rd. Mundelein, to store belongings for our daughter and son-in-law, who are moving from Ohio.
Chris was SO helpful to us. Not only did he help us decide what size storage to get, he personally walked us over and showed us everything. I had been calling him several times and he was always kind, patient and friendly.
When we had to get the bigger storage because we needed the space, he drove us over to the new unit and showed us everything. I have never met anyone as personable Chris, who goes out of his way to help people.
The building itself is secure and clean. The security cameras are a plus. We rented a well-lit, indoor climate-controlled unit that you can just drive up to. It’s a piece of cake!”

I want to take a moment to recognize D’kwon and Sebail at the Waukegan U-Haul location for providing an exceptional level of customer service throughout my rental experience.
My reservation changed several times due to circumstances on my end, which could have easily made an already stressful situation much more difficult. Instead, D’kwon and Sebail met every change with patience, professionalism, flexibility, and genuine care. At every turn, they adjusted my reservation, helped me navigate what was needed, and remained focused on making sure my experience was as smooth and stress-free as possible.
What impressed me most was that I never felt like an inconvenience. Even as my needs changed, they continued to be accommodating and solution-oriented. They didn’t simply process a transaction—they paid attention, listened, adapted, and made sure I was taken care of. That level of service makes an enormous difference when a customer is managing the many moving pieces and unexpected changes that can come with a move.
D’kwon and Sebail truly went above and beyond the call of duty. Their commitment to customer care reflects extremely well on the Waukegan U-Haul location and on U-Haul as a company. Employees who consistently demonstrate this kind of patience, professionalism, and dedication deserve to be recognized by their leadership.
To anyone considering this location: you can feel confident knowing there are people here who genuinely care about getting things right for their customers.
And to D’kwon and Sebail: thank you. Your kindness, patience, flexibility, and professionalism did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. You turned what could have been a very stressful rental experience into an excellent one, and I am sincerely grateful for the care you provided.
