“I feel like Macy's has made improvements over the past several years, there was a time when it was a bit of a mess and akin to Kohl's with everything always on sale. It's looking and feeling better now. I did notice on a recent trip that the men's dress clothing section has dramatically decreased - the tie selection isn't what it used to be. On a second recent trip I needed an analog wrist watch that met some very specific requirements and was under $100 and the sales lady in the watch section really stepped up to help, even though it was a small purchase in comparison to most of the other watches there. Not only did she find me exactly what I needed, she provided me with options and double checked the product information online to make sure it met my needs.”

“I visited from Canada and stopped by Nordstrom Rack in Oakbrook to shop for sunglasses and I must say, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any Nordstrom Rack. Tammy was an absolute gem! “From the moment I walked in to return a sweater that didn't fit, I felt like I was the most important person to the women at the customer service/cashier desk. The woman was so kind and got everything done within a couple of minutes. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by her a couple of years ago. She was just as kind and efficient then as she was this time. I was greeted with a smile and left with a smile after she helped me again with my new purchases. I don't know the cashier's name, but she is short,older, with short salt and pepper hair. I wish I knew how to send kudos her way.”

“Customer service was surprisingly excellent. I was asked by more than one person there if I needed help or if they could do anything for me. I think I was asked four times by different people and twice by one man. That's really excellent. They can be proud of that.
Found another cologne that I like. I like the Arabic colognes of Oud wood. Lately they have had quite a few. Should have bought the one box that they had of a different type but still Arabic. Quite nice. These better colognes surprisingly are in the cheaper section, not in the boxes that are locked up.”

“I was looking for a mirror and found a few here, from small size to the one I got, 48 x 76 inches. I asked if someone could help me with it, and soon, two people did help me get it with their cart.
The person at the register was friendly and fast, I paid and also got a bit of help getting the mirror on my vehicle.
They had many registers open when the line got longer.
The store was clean, there is plenty of free parking right in front.
Overall I like the store and I'll come back.”

“The associates at this store are very friendly and helpful. Last week, I wanted to buy this kids kitchen set in the toys section, but the box was giant. I had my baby in a stroller and I couldn't carry it with the stroller. I asked the associates if they could bring the box to checkout and then down to the exit so I could put it in my car. I'm so appreciative of the staff for helping me. One associate brought it to the register so I could purchase it and another brought it down to the door so I could load it in my car. They were so patient with me. Thank you both so much from a thankful mom.”

And now that they carry some items in the $5–$10 range, the options are even better without losing the budget-friendly vibe.
The staff is always friendly and helpful, and checkout is quick and easy. I also appreciate how they keep the store clean and well-organized, even when it’s busy.
Five Below is one of those places you can walk into for one thing and come out with a bag full of great finds—and you still feel like you got an awesome deal. It’s fun for all ages and honestly just a feel-good place to shop. Highly recommend stopping in if you haven’t.”
