“good very nice staff and very clean. I will say though I wish this location had a seated row machine with a wide grip to hit upper back better like the life fitness or plate loaded ones I saw at a different planet.”
“OTF can be on the pricey side, but the coaching and staff are worth it. They are all very friendly and there's more sense of community here than other group fitness I've been to.”

“This gym is by far my favorite. It's very well maintained and cleaned daily, I usually see someone cleaning every time I go. I love the availability of tanning and massage beds. The staff is also always welcoming and very nice, even at 6am. ?”
“Just a slight gripe. Please clean the sauna. It needs to be power washed. I’ve been going more often now and use the sauna every time I visit. The last couple of weeks it has a slight smell of mildew, the heat makes it worse. I know that it’s not cleaned cause the same piece of garbage and dirt tracked in from the gym is still there. The benches need to be power washed.
I still rate the gym 6 stars.
Edited from previous: The sauna equipment has been replaced, nice and hot , definitely top notch gym.
Great gym. Everyone there goes to workout and not socialize like some of the other gyms nearby. Extremely clean. Only negative is the Sauna, seems a bit small And outdated.”
“Amazing! Def a hidden gem. Doesnt look special from outside but inside: WOW! Probably the best equipped gym I have been to and I have been training across the US for a long time! Every machine/free-weight/equipment you can imagine in a HUGE space. Separate rooms for different body parts, basketball hoop, pool, tanning, sauna, you name it. Super cool staff- especially Summer at the front desk! Highly recommend!!”

“I have been doing CrossFit for a little over a year now and this is the only gym I've been a part of. The coaches and fellow athletes at this gym are super friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. I felt right at home within the first few classes at LLCF! I would highly recommend this CrossFit gym to everyone! Come check us out!”
“I joined this gym 10 years ago with a simple goal—to tone up for my wedding. A decade later, it’s been so much more than that.
I’ve watched this gym adapt through everything—closing during the pandemic but still showing up for us with consistent Zoom workouts, then reopening in a bigger, better space. But the most incredible part has been witnessing the transformation of every single person who walks through those doors.
From day one, you’re welcomed with a plan, real accountability, and a community that genuinely makes you feel like you belong.
Personally, I know I’m not someone who will push myself past the “this hurts” phase on my own—and I definitely wouldn’t stick with it alone. Here, I don’t have to. My only job is to sign up and show up. My workouts are tailored to me, my goals, and my strength level—and when I don’t show up for myself, they notice and hold me accountable.
If you’ve been on the fence about starting your wellness journey—whether physical or mental—let this be your sign. You won’t regret it.”
“For many years, I struggled to put into words what I was truly looking for in a gym. I tried them all kickboxing gyms, big-box gyms, small intimate spaces, trendy spots, and even gyms I joined simply because friends or family loved them. Each had something to offer, but none fully gave me what I needed.
What I was searching for was deeper than workouts. I wanted motivation that lasted, accountability that felt supportive, and a space where progress wasn’t just promised but visible, measurable, and encouraged. I finally found that here!
CrossFit Plainfield is more than a gym. It adds character, strength, and purpose to this community. It’s a place where people are seen, supported, and challenged in the best way. The energy, the encouragement, and the collective commitment to growth make this space matter not just to our bodies, but to our lives.
Thank you, CrossFit Plainfield, for being everything I didn’t know how to describe, but always knew I was missing. You filled the gaps motivation, direction, confidence, and belonging.
And most importantly, thank you to my girl, Colleen an absolute gem to this gym and to everyone in it. Her personality, her attention to detail, and her genuine care for each individual are unmatched. She has an incredible ability to build confidence, meet people where they are, and understand not only who we are physically, but who we are as people. She sees the hopes, needs, and potential in each person and gives exactly what’s needed, and then some. That kind of leadership changes lives.”
“I've been a member of this gym for about a year now, and it has truly become one of my favorite places to be. What sets this gym apart is the incredible sense of community. The owners, staff, and members genuinely care about each other, creating a welcoming and supportive environment that makes everyone feel like they belong.
The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and never feels overly crowded, which makes every workout enjoyable. There is a great variety of machines and equipment, and it's clear that the owners and staff are committed to continually improving the facility by adding new pieces of equipment and investing back into the gym.
The camaraderie here is something special. People encourage one another, offer help when needed, and celebrate each other's progress. As someone who has made significant lifestyle changes, I can honestly say that the people here made that journey feel much more approachable and welcoming.
If you're looking for a gym with excellent equipment, outstanding staff, a positive atmosphere, and a true sense of community, this is the place. I couldn't imagine training anywhere else because I absolutely love it here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for more than just a gym.”

“This gym is fantastic, fostering a culture of improvement and personal development.
It's amusing to see the one-star reviews that lack any substantial feedback. I can only assume they come from disgruntled Joliet Police Department, upset about crossing the line only to leave with a bloody mouth as an end result. Haters! 😭”

“Highly recommend especially for new gym beginners. Jovanny made the transition into the gym extremely smooth and answered all my questions on equipment, training regiments, and even got me set up with a trainer to expand my knowledge about fitness. He truly cared for my fitness goals and made the entire gym environment feel so welcoming! I highly recommend speaking to Jovanny over here! Great job!”
“YinYangYogaFit is truly such a special studio. From the moment you walk in, you feel completely welcomed and supported, no matter your experience level. The classes have such a warm, calming energy that makes it easy to show up exactly as you are.
Geri, the owner, is absolutely wonderful. She is kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive, and you can tell how deeply she cares about both the studio and the people in it. Her involvement in the Lockport community is so inspiring. Through her work with the Lockport Women’s Club and the vocational program at Lockport, she helps students learn sewing skills for the C3 Artisan store, which speaks volumes about her heart and dedication to giving back.
The instructors at YinYangYogaFit are just as amazing. Every class feels welcoming and inclusive, and they are always happy to help with modifications or adjustments so everyone feels comfortable and successful in their practice. There is zero judgment and so much encouragement, which makes such a difference.
This studio is more than just a place to take a yoga class. It is a true community built on care, support, and connection. I am so grateful to have YinYangYogaFit in Lockport and cannot recommend it highly enough.”

“Pros: Basic gym, basic equipment, reasonable price, pretty clean, not too crowded.
Cons: They don't really have a way to do back rows besides the fixed motion machine, this is usually a staple at most commercial gyms. The drinking fountain tastes a little funky.”

“I’ve been a member of this gym since 2019, and it’s consistently been a place I’ve felt supported—through my 20's, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and now motherhood. The coaches are knowledgeable and approachable, always adapting workouts to meet me where I was physically. It’s not just about fitness here; it’s about community. The friendships I’ve built have made showing up something I genuinely look forward to.
What I appreciate most is the inclusive atmosphere. You’ll find people of all ages—from teens to those in their 60s—working toward their goals in a space that feels welcoming and motivating. If you’re looking for a gym that balances challenge with camaraderie, this is the place!”

“I've been coming here for the past two months, and I'd say it's a pretty decent gym. I was definitely nervous at first since I didn't know what I was doing, but there's an app and instructions on nearly every machine that show you how to use it.
I know Planet Fitness can get a bad reputation because of the lunk alarm, but this isn't one of those locations. The gym is exceptionally clean, the staff is friendly, and nobody bothers you while you work out. It's also usually not very busy during the weekdays, and I rarely have to wait for machines. Rush hour and weekends can get pretty hectic, though, so I'd avoid working out during those times if possible.
The only downside to this location is the lack of redundancy for certain machines. I'd gladly trade some of the cardio equipment for more strength-training options. The gym could probably remove a portion of the cardio machines, which take up a lot of space, and add equipment such as a pec fly machine, preacher curl machine, tricep extension machine, and tricep pushdown machine.
If they made those additions, this would easily be a 5/5 gym.
P.s - I have yet to see one person filming their workout. So kuddos for that one.”
“I’m was thinking about joining planet fitness, I came in to see the facility. Nick was very helpful and gave me a tour. He was great, very informative, patient and answered all my questions. I am joining!”
“I have been a member here for around 7 years and this gym keeps on getting better and better. It is clean, the staff is amazing, and they have everything you would ever need. They have an amazing cardio selection, free weights, a recovery room (amazing, new addition), and a crossfit room. Chrissy does an amazing job running the place but the entire staff is awesome. Brian is my personal trainer and he delivers exceptional results. All of the other trainers are amazing as well, along with the entire staff. Whether you’re new to fitness or an expert, this is the place for you. It is by far the best gym in Plainfield!”

“Summary: Great but Monitor the Temp
It’s 1/7 and 44° outside, the gym temperature is around 75°. So warm that a staff member is comfortably wearing summer attire without actually working out. The heat is running so consistently that there is little air moisture causing me to have dry throat while running (runners, it feels like running in an indoor track on a packed meet day).
I asked a staff member to decrease the temperature but said they couldn’t (fine) but management needs to at least in the future prevent this. I wanted to complete my 10 miles but had to stop at 7 miles so I wouldn’t overheat since there are no fans and can’t run shirtless.”

“They have baseball fields they have Pavilions you may have to rent them unless they're not in use they have a Hall you can rent it's open to the public but if you visit often you will possibly have to join which is very inexpensive they have a bar with bar food a lot of numbers bring food to share with everyone on special nights Sports nights and they have Santa Claus that you can get pictures taken and you can also get presents for your children but you have to be a member for that it's very fun and nice people”
“Whenever I've come in the staff is friendly & personable. Cleanliness is a big deal for me, this place is always on point! Smells good & looks good. Have to say I've never had to wait to use a piece of equipment.”
“Five stars is not enough to express our love and gratitude for the Morrigans. We are forever thankful for your commitment and support in helping us grow the Peoria Bootleggers and women’s rugby in general. Not only are you top notch rugby players, but your are a stellar humans. 🧡💜”

“Great place to workout!! Very nice and friendly staff. I also like that the place is very clean. Staff and people working out are very conscientious about using sanitizers and wiping down machines.”
“This is a wonderful facility, and I’m genuinely grateful that childcare is offered at a price point families can actually afford. Compared to other gyms nearby, affordable childcare is extremely hard to find, and this place truly stands out because of that.
I do hope the leadership team might consider expanding the childcare age requirement in the future to include younger infants. Early parenthood can be an incredibly isolating and demanding season, and having access to a gym and childcare can make a huge difference for a parent’s physical and mental health.
This facility clearly cares about families, and I hope this is something that can be considered as you continue supporting the community.”
“I signed my daughter up for the spring ‘22 season not knowing if she’d be interested in baseball but we wanted to give it a try. We instantly fell in love with the Miracle League and she was excited to come back for the fall season too. What a great group of people. Can’t wait to come back in 2023!!!”
“Super easy to work with Jose. His crew did an amazing job on our driveway replacement. The guys were very polite and respectful of our property and subdivision. Would recommend them 100x over.”
