“I walked in. Was greeted immediately by the cashier, Maggie and young guy with a smile on his face (forgot his name). He helped me find what I needed. Maggie was so friendly and got me signed up for rewards. I never came here before the new owners, because the previous owners were rude, the hours weren't great for after work or weekend projects. I'll definitely be stopping at Ace before heading to 173 and going to the big stores.”
“They are always helpful. Brought my key fob in to get new battery and the young clerk immediately took the fob and started to open it with a handy tool. He picked the battery off of shelf and changed battery for me then handed me the fob and empty battery package so I could check out. Very friendly. All of the young folks that work there are respectful and willing to help. We always go to Ace for its convenience and helpful assistance.”
“Customer service and installation crew were fantastic! The installers were conscientious did a wonderful job replacing and installing a patio door and bay window. Highly recommend them!”
“This is something that gets more and more rare every year: a well-stocked, well-run, locally owned small business with high-quality goods. Support them while a few still exist.”
“Got to Love Harbor Freight. Their tools have improved tremendously over the past few years. Don't even get me started on the new Toolbox linevisxfricken AWESOME”
“I love Ace Hardware every time I go in I need help and they are right there to help you with great customer service. You don’t have to look and look for a person to help you.
Thank You Ace Haedware for your great customer service”
“Some employees are worth their weight in gold. Vicki in appliances at the Rockford location is of those employees! She is helpful, patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable.”
“Old school hardware store. Love the fact that they have just about anything you can imagine. If you’re in a pickle and need some supplies fast, this is the local place to check out. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well.”

“I love this place, it's awesome. I know this sounds funny but I'm from GA and we don't have these stores down there. Tractor Supply is great but Farm & Fleet has a lot to offer and they have their own brand of clothes that I really like.”
“We had to rent some tools to do some repairs in our home. We went to this location first and the staff was friendly and helpful. The process was easy and affordable. It helps people who are homeowners to not have to buy all them but rent them instead. They also have trucks you can rent for affordable prices as well. I encourage others to use this resource.”
“The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. My water heater broke under warranty and they got me a replacement part under warranty within minutes. They didn’t give me a hard time like other companies with the return/exchange part warranty. Overall a great company and I look forward to doing more business with them!”
“Menards is my go-to for just about any kind of building supplies, cleaning supplies, or odds and ends. Best prices and close to home. The big orange store used to be my go to, but if you have a question, good luck finding an employee at the orange store. And if you do, that employee has no knowledge. Menards is the way to go.”
“Needed some round grill grates that nobody seemed to have for Memorial Day grilling. Had already been to several stores. Finally went to local Home Depot. Found one Weber grate right away. But the slot for the other was empty. Friendly staff person saw me milling around and asked if he could help! Unsolicited. Wow! Showed him the second grill grate size. He immed went to get a huge step ladder. Grill grate was not located in the first place way up high where he initially looked. Was on the other side, again way up high. This was a lot of work. It required moving that huge ladder from elsewhere and then again on site there. (He had been unboxing in another aisle beforehand.)He cheerfully brought down the second larger grill grate, asked if I needed anything else. Thanked him for his help. Thought I might browse a bit. Clearly this Home Depot is decked out.Decided to look for lighter fluid. Price was amazing! Strangely it was about half of the local, big box, discount store. (Hmm.) Got one. Will return the much more expensive big box version. (And they had zero round grill grates in their store.)Accomplished a lot, in a hurry, very pleasant shopping experience! Amazing. And FYI, I use a rollator. It hurts and is tiring to ambulate. The thoughtful, unsolicited assistance from this young man today was heart-warming. Truly appreciated.”
“I prefer it to Lowe's primarily because it's cheaper and less aggressive about signing up for a credit card.
It's a box store all the same.”
“Amazing company, First thing you notice is how Clean the whole facility is. No stress work environment, Amazing people, caring staff that seem to care about their workers. You dont have to worry about power hungry bosses here because all management is friendly, caring and leave you be as long as you do your job. 100% recomend working here. Many other perks and benefits once you get hired.”
“I absolutely love the flower section at Lowe's! They have a fantastic variety of plants that cater to all kinds of gardening needs, whether you're looking for bulbs, perennials, or annuals. One of the best-kept secrets about Lowe's is their clearance section. It's a goldmine for savvy gardeners like myself.
Here's the deal: Lowe's often puts almost-dead flowers on clearance. While they might look sad and wilted, these flowers are a hidden gem. With a little TLC, you can nurse them back to health and enjoy beautiful blooms the following year.
For bulbs, you can simply plant them as usual. They may not bloom right away, but with proper care and patience, they'll come back strong in the next season. Perennials are another great find in the clearance section. These plants might look like they're on their last leg, but they have the resilience to bounce back with some love and care. Just plant them in a suitable spot, give them some water and nutrients, and watch them thrive.
Even annuals, which are typically expected to last only one season, can sometimes surprise you. While they might not come back year after year, grabbing them on clearance means you get to enjoy their beauty for a fraction of the cost, and who knows? Some might even self-seed and pop up again next year.
In short, Lowe's flower section is a gardener's paradise, and the clearance section is the secret garden waiting to be discovered. Happy gardening!”
“Needed an auger. While they were a little more expensive than Walmart, they were in stock at the store, and Walmart only offered them online.
When you have a toilet that needs an auger, there is no time to wait for shipping. That is an immediate need. Thank you, Lowe's!”
“They had a really nice selection of solar powered outdoor lighting and decorations. Unfortunately I was looking for replacement rechargeable solar light batteries, which they did not have. At least the people at the customer service desk said they did not carry them.”
