“When a house we purchased turned out to have improper venting that was not up to code for 2 fireplaces, we were despondent at the of thought of major construction to correct the problem. A friend referred us to American Heritage, and they recommended switching to ventless fireplaces and sealing off the chimneys avoiding a huge headache. We went with their reco and could not be happier. Installation was professional and excellent and their customer service post-purchase has always been great. Highly recommend.”
“The LG BP530 Blu-ray Player I ordered through World-Import played the PAL format discs I ordered from down-under on my NTSC equipment with no problems. And that is even when sending the HDMI output through a wireless extender to a CVBS converter to an old CRT TV! I put in any kind of disc and hit play. I could not be more pleased.”

“Great selection (mostly online but decent in-store), great service, speedy delivery. Sarah in sales was super responsive. I started my renovation project at Studio 41 near Merchandise Mart (near my job) and in Lincolnwood (near nothing) and while the team in Lincolnwood was MUCH nicer than the folks on Hubbard (it wouldn't take much) there wasn't nearly the responsiveness and pricing transparency that I got at Ferguson. I was initially very overwhelmed by by master bath rehab- Sarah was easy to work with and worked well with my contractor to replace a Kohler tub that arrived with minor damage. Totally a 5 star experience”

“This is the thing I love about Coles and why our next purchase will be from them: each person is kind and has the training, knowledge, and, most important of all, the authority to actually solve problems, not merely be sympathetic about them. Great place. I highly recommend them. I needed a favor, a seemingly simple favor but a favor nevertheless. I called all the big box stores. They were, for the most part, kind and, in an odd way, responsive: they killed me with encouragement. But after three weeks of encouraging phone calls with Customer Service agents and managers alike, and unanswered phone calls and promised but unreceived emails from the folk who might could actually do the favor, I was no where but two weeks behind: everyone said this should be possible but no one could do it, despite being willing to. Remarkably, it was an Orange Big Box Customer Service agent in rural Kansas who lead me to Coles. She said to me, "When I needed this I called my local furniture store." I said, "There aren't any anymore where I'm from." I was wrong. It took 24 hours. I found Coles on my first online search and was embarrassed to realize they have been in my neighborhood a few decades longer than I have. I got Kevin first call, first ring. He said, "No problem," and put me in touch with Charles. Who responded promptly by email. And by the next day I was on the phone with Mark on one of the trucks. Problem solved. And then some. Most big purchases I dread. The research. The feeling all along that the house has rigged the game no matter how hard I work. My next big purchase I am actually looking forward to because it will be from Coles.”
“There are 2 ways to get to the docks. Id suggest the green route. As flatbeds unload in the home depot driveway. There's quite a bit of room to back in. They were fast to unload.”

“This update is based on my experience buying wood trim for a project: they have a great selection, and unlike my experience at Lowe's in Lincolnwood, their website is actually accurate and tells you which aisle/bin the item is in (see my Lowe's review for that cluster of a mess). I found what I needed, and they have a sawhorse set up so you can cut trim yourself -- I was surprised that they even had a miter box, as I thought that wasn't something they offered to avoid having people doing their full project cutting in the store. I needed to miter the pieces for my project, but I didn't know the exact measurements and had never used a miter box before, so I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to figure it out at 7am on Christmas Eve in the middle of a Home Depot. So instead I just cut the trim to the approximate sizes I needed with some wiggle room to measure it exactly later, and managed to figure out how to use a miter box at home after watching a Youtube tutorial. So, yay for that. Also after my adventures in elementary woodworking (lol), I needed wood filler/putty because the miter saw I was using was like 20 years old and not the most precise. Their website said they didn't carry the kind/stain shade I was looking for, but when I got there the day after Christmas, they did indeed have it. So, that was perfect. And now I have an awesome, handbuilt coffee table. About 5 years ago I also needed a random 1x4 (or maybe 1x6?) for a single shelf to fill the gap between my fridge and my wall, and one of their staff members used the power saw setup to cut that for me. That was also an easy peasy process. For my future random wood project needs, I'll definitely come here rather than Lowe's.”

I called in asking about an igniter and one the gentlemen helped me find the part I was looking for. When I walked in, he already set the part aside so it would be ready when I walked in. I've already recommended them and I'm looking forward to coming back.”

“Business as usual, there welcoming, friendly and helpful. It ok when you coming to buy small stuff but it when you buying stove and dryer the big stuff that when you have problems they mounted the stove to close to window melt the blinds I was told fire it hazardous, call try to get the worker to remove it from being so close to they said no, now we buy a dryer from here the worker put sliver or duck tape on everything I don’t him to use clips he refuse then use that duck tapes on everything few day later all that mess came a loose call the store try get somebody help I got hang up the girl on the phone didn’t know nothing I had to go store buy a clip and paid a family hood the dryer up right. I paid for insurance not work out with Home Depot.”
“I am not very happy with them. I ordered a vanity, and worked with a designer who was not responsive at all. I emailed about delivery, came over to ask her about timing, and she said she will be getting back to me. I was also supposed to order the rest of my master bath as well, but she was completely unresponsive. I also called the store to give them my contractor's number, so they can coordinate with him when I am out of the country. They called me, of course, on the date of delivery. They brought the delivery on time, but did not bring one of the sinks because it was backordered; they did not bother to tell me that when they were supposed to deliver the vanity. Bottom line- order from a different place. This is not professional at all.

“Needed some pvc poles for a mesh fence im making for my vegetable garden in back, found the poles they cut them in half for me and found the mesh for the fence and the ties all in one place. And while I was there got some more vegetable plants. Love my home depot.”
