“This gas station is very convenient and I do have good customer service but I'm still trying to figure out why do they close at 11:45 at night to 2 in the morning and then open back up what's going on”
“Good clean store with decent staff. Fuel is available here and the price for 93 octane is good, 87 can be beat by local gas stations if you do a little research. Selection is good, meat and produce departments are well run. Good place to stock up on the essentials.”
“Saturday night, just before closing at 6pm, i stopped to fill my tank. Everything went fine until i couldn’t start my car to pull away from the gas tank. In jumps my hero, Adam, who got a booster for my battery which seemed to be the problem. After several tries, it still wouldn’t start so he offered to push my car away from the pumps to a nearby space. Man, I never thought he could do that! Someone jump in and helped him. He kept an eye on me (Senior citizen) and watch for the tow truck and made sure my son arrived to be with me after the store closed at 6. Adam was so kind and caring and made sure i would be safe after he left! Adam went above and beyond for me! In my eyes, he is the employee of the year! Thanks, Adam!!”

“Best price for diesel in the area. I drive out of my way to fuel up here just so I'm not putting money into a thieves pocket for the convenience. I hate spending $120-130 to fill up once or twice a week, but this place is definitely cheaper than 14&176, 120&Chappell Hill, and Casey's.I'll delete this post if they jump on that bandwagon.Went here again today, and it's 20 cents cheaper a gallon.”

“Needed half tank saw BP had $3.19.Drove further west to Walgreens saw Shell at $3.44, did a quick U turn went back to BP. I have noted that if you see a good price buy it now. Don't run that errand then go back, the price will rise.That cought me a few times.”

“always has the lowest fuel price vs. other stations nearby me. Does not have a walk-in cashier & convince store like most. They have a small brick walk up behind glass. You pay cash there & also can purchase cigarettes or various choice of bottle beverages. Has 6 full service pumps, all covered by a generously large canopy. It's well lit at dusk but they are not open late. I like it.”

“If you have a diesel that needs repaired, this is the place to bring it. The owner, Bill, is a really great guy that you can trust to not overcharge or upsell you like some places do. Definitely has a mom and pop feel to the place. Everyone that I've met just seems like good people. Can't recommend this place enough! Don't be scared away by the negative review of the guy that blew up his motor 2 years after it was rebuilt by Bill's guys.) How can you blame a shop 2 years after the fact??? Shame on people like that.”

“I came to the Meijer’s Gas Station in McHenry on Sunday, April 26, 2026 after a botched experience elsewhere. This was the only other gas station around that day that stood at less than $4/gallon. It was $3.93 a gallon to fill up. It was very quick and easy to do. It was after 9pm so I went and then out within 5 minutes and I was home within another 10. (Written 5-27-26)”

“So glad to have this nearby. Growing up in Chicago this was one of my favorite places, now it's a 20 minute drive from the Wisconsin border. The woman who makes the subs, usually, is awesome. She will customize your sub for your which is usually a bit of a challenge at my go to Mr. Sub on Western Ave in Chicago. Get a king super sub with oil on half. You'll get 4 meals out of it.”

“Been going there for 2 yrs now... The staff is awesome! I get the midgrade gas and my older vehicles (2005 & 2011) run smoother and get better gas mileage. Too bad the ExxonMobil app does not have specials on buying the midgrade gas, like the premium gas.”
“It was a very clean gas station the windshield wiper fluid was full the cleaners the squeegees or knew they had towels out of red paper towels all filled and ready to go it was a very clean store”
“Nice gas station with alot of food and drinks to choose from. Good prices and super easy to find and park. Has public restrooms, handicap parking and acceptability. Free window washing station's at each pump with free paper towels. Good gas prices as well as convenient location!!! I definitely recommend this place for anyone!”

“Location is key....this gas station is the heart of the Wauconda town. Right by the lake and located near small buisness, and restaurants. It's accessible by the routes that go through the town. ENJOY!”

“First time at a speedway fairly clean and modern compared to a 7-11 large too and bathrooms were clean and unlocked! Also seems to have better food choices including warm food options compared to a standard 7-11. Will definitely be back soon at at other locations.”
