“I barely go here but over the holidays I decided to give them another try to get a 3 leche cake unfortunately the cake was definitely just leche no cake at all. Each slice I cut was full of milk, you couldn't even see the bread of the cake. I just thought it was maybe a one time error but no they're still making the cakes like that, just nasty no texture.”

“Wow! This place takes me back to my childhood! I haven't been to a supermercado since I was 15 years old and that was 15 years ago! I love the smell of tortillas and food inside. I went there for the first time today to go to "Drip and Culture" for a double date. I also picked up half a dozen tamales! They were pretty good, chicken was a bit dry but I've had way drier so it's not a big deal. They were tasty! They're also well priced considering the ingredients and amount of work it takes to make them! I was in awe when I noticed the Mexican artesanía section! Definitely wanna grab some stuff there next time. Staff was helpful, I struggle speaking Spanish but understand it better, so it was nice to have an employee help me with asking about the tamales. I love that this place makes me feel right at home since moving far away from family. Keeps me in touch with my culture. Also, gotta love the prices!”
“Best corn in a cup, tortas, tacos, and burritos! The area is a bit sketchy but definitely worth it. They're really quick! I got a corn in a cup and a torta for $12.50. The food is to go, no seating areas”

The store carries a ton of stuff and everything that I could ever want and need, from groceries to clothes, home goods, etc. The store is also spacious enough and it has a nice layout where everything is easy to find. I wanted to start with their groceries. Their grocery products are great. There are a variety of choices. The products are also fresh and the quality is good. However, the stocks are not maintained. There are times when specific items are out of stock, which is very disappointing, especially when they are products that I desperately need. That is one of the problems I faced in this store. Other products are well-stocked, but there have been times when I couldn't find what I was looking for because it was already out of stock. Meanwhile, I do not have any problems with the bread the store carries because they have all the particular brands I wanted and I could think of. I also think that they have all the great brands. Prices are fair and reasonable here. They do not go higher and if they do, they only have a few differences, which is great and also the reason why I like this store. Their prices are reasonable, and they usually have lower prices than any other store. Service here is pretty nice too. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are always attentive whenever I want to ask something or anything, and they are always glad to help.”
“I've been shopping here almost 10 years. In the last 2 years I've found the staff to be AMAZING! They're so helpful and caring. It's nice they recognize my 2 son's and myself. There are 2 employees in particular that deserve recognition- Ken and Bri. They make every visit welcoming. 10/10”

“I never have problems at this store. I switched to Jewel because CVS and Walgreens are an expensive mess that often have lines wrapped around the store, and the CVS even handed me someone else's pills one day.
I just got tired of the high prices, staffing issues, store closures, and unprofessionalism at the other pharmacies.
I can't for the life of me figure out how they lose money selling pills that sometimes cost thousands of dollars a bottle.
Anyway, I've always had on time accurate prescriptions at lower cost at Jewel-Osco and their staff is friendly.”

“Wow what a delight from Esquites ? (Corn in a Cup) I had already heard that the quintessential Esquites place in Waukegan was the Super Ortiz in Belvidere Mall. In addition to the exquisite Esquites, they sell snacks such as Fruit, Jellies, Cakes, so there are for every taste.
The relevant thing is that I discovered that the glasses in which they serve the corn are Biodegradable eco-friendly, congratulations for not only taking care of the quality of your product, but also taking care of the environment. When you have a craving, do yourself a favor and visit Super Ortiz.”
