I won't say what they did for me here, but they both know and I GREATLY appreciate that. You can't find too any kind people in this world nowadays. Also, if your dog.needs thier nails.clipped and buffed, go on Tuesdays. You get the buff for free so it's $14. Would be more on any other day. Noah is gentle with my fur baby. This is always my pet store, wherever I am in the Chicagoland area...but this particular one has the greatest customer service.

My nearly 12 year old long haired cat Harvey Milk has diabetes and is toothless, so this past year his grooming has severely gone downhill and we just couldn't keep up with his needs and needed help. He had never been groomed, never even had a bath. He got a nice teddy bear cut and it has made a noticeable difference in his attitude! You can tell he is so much more comfortable. He is less restless, he picks less fights with his sisters, even his blood glucose numbers are better! And to top it all off, I brought him in on the wrong WEEK (right day and time, just wrong week) and she was still able to make it work so that we didn't have to subject him to another car ride. She was also very knowledgeable about his diabetes and his glucose monitor, which was a big relief. We will be bringing him back for regular grooms for the rest of his life!

I have been here with 2 cats, my sister/brother in law’s very old and very sick cat who they treated extremely well. I saw this first hand when I was cat sitting and he needed to take the cat in. They helped him (and his “brother”) live a long comfortable life even after they got ill - and my SIL said they were gentle and wonderful when it was time to put them down.
When I moved to the Downers Grove area I switched my vet care for my cat to Abbeywood. My cat has some serious chronic conditions and developed a new one more recently. Both Drs. Ubatuba and Johnston were fine with my not wanting to spend a lot of time and money to intensively treat the intestinal cancer we suspected. Instead, he gets care to prevent bladder stones, medicine for his thyroid, and added a steroid for his suspected intestinal cancer - reduced the inflammation, increased his comfort and has given him another happy year so far (they did not force me into expensive tests, surgery or chemo since he’s an old cat). They would have done the tests if I had wanted to know definitively what was causing my cat’s misery - and treated if we wanted to do that.
Abbeywood’s team is really attuned to what you need and as far as I can tell, technically great (getting blood and urine samples from my cat has never been easy).
Can’t say enough good about them.

518 N Warwick Ave, WestmontOur pup, Burnham (famed armpit smelling dog) passed away, suddenly late Christmas Day 2023 at 12 1/2 years old. He had Dr. Muehrke when he was a pup for few years and then Dr. Vidt. Later, he had his last 5+years with Dr. McCallian. All doctors are incredible, but Dr. McCallian was outstanding. Our new pup, Cooper (rescued from Kentucky with twelve siblings) we had planned to see Dr. McCallian but he was on maternity leave with his wife, so we saw Dr. Kayson--another fabulous experience. He was great with Cooper and made him feel very comfortable. He explained all questions we had plus provided us with a plethora of information (haven't had a pup in 12 1/2 years) --which was very helpful, thus far. We have never had a bad experience with anyone--including the front desk and techs. I highly recommend them to everyone! Thanks for continuing excellent care for our pups over almost 14 years. You are all much appreciated always.

VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital
518 N Warwick Ave, WestmontCan't say enough good things about VCA Westmont. They are well managed, very professional and very easy to work with. Their app also makes it so easy to schedule appointments, refill prescriptions and pull paperwork. I appreciate that they're upfront with pricing before doing any procedures. We saw multiple doctors and they were all great. They are thorough and explain things clearly. When we had to put our 16 yo Am Staff down, they were very kind and compassionate when setting up the appointment. Unfortunately, our pet got very sick a week before the appointment and had to be put down at the emergency vet. Even still, VCA sent a card with condolences signed by all the staff. It was such a sweet and welcome gesture! I highly recommend this facility.

35 N Cass Ave, WestmontThe doctors and staff at Urban Veterinary Association are truly leaps and bounds above other facilities. Their level of care, attention, and professionalism is unmatched. I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Nowak and Dr. Rumpf, and both clearly CARE... not just about their pet patients, but about the owners as well.
My cat had an issue that other clinics couldn’t figure out, but this team took the time, applied their expertise, and got to the bottom of it. I’m incredibly grateful for their dedication and highly recommend them to anyone seeking exceptional veterinary care.

830 E Ogden Ave, WestmontSushi House was a 10/10. My friend and I were traveling to Chicago for a concert. Our hotel was out of power and a tornado was on its way. We just needed a good meal. The food was out in less than 10 minutes. Our server was amazing. He was attentive and kind. We were the only people in the restaurant and tornado sirens were going off and we were having the time of our life. The Udon and Dan Dan noodles were delicious and you could tell the sushi was made fresh to order. We will be returning on our next trip to Chicago. Hidden gem.

I gave it 4 stars because it seemed like they were out of a lot of things. Namely brisket which was in a lot of their menu items. And their pizza oven wasn't working so we couldn't order any of those either.
But, the bartender was great/very attentive. I think the chalkboard said his name was Conner?
We'll definitely try and make it back over there this summer.
