“Honestly, please ignore all those one star reviews! Screw them! Especially the ones regarding the bathroom it’s just blasphemy. Ultimate Treasures is not only an amazing antique & thrift store filled with ANYTHING you could ask for from couches to art to movies to books to clothes to even good condition used toiletries & cooking products even TJ’s brand olive oil well hell you name it… BUT it is an incredible first date idea (like guys- write this down)! You can go exploring down every aisle & always find something incredible & worthwhile! This store has so much to offer though seriously. So I mean ‘tis the season to bring your Valentine here & go find a relic that will last an era of romance & adoration! Ps if someone could please give the leather jacket that is so sick and says “Babe Squad” on the back a great home & then please post a review with a photo of you flaunting it I’d absolutely love that (I don’t have the confidence)! Anyways, just please please please if you don’t do anything else in Downers Grove, at least make a stop to Ultimate Treasures! It’s a life changing destination to add to your list. And maybe you’ll fall in love… who knows!”

“If you’re into thrifting give New2You a try. I’ve found some great pieces and antique furniture in here for a really unbeatable price. The only downside is the close kind of early at 3:30 but if you get in during the early opening hours you’re sure to find some goodies.”

“A worthy charity and my favorite thrift shop for clothing and housewares. Prices are very reasonable and you never know what you’ll find. They no longer sell furniture but decades ago I scored big time on a piece of Western Shaker. If you’re there early enough you too might find an antique treasure.”
“Happened upon while driving on Roosevelt.....Love the interesting finds and the fact they support a Cat Rescue!! They also have some Incense and Sage sticks along with some cool vintage threads! One of my finds were these 3 tiny Deer figurines! Purrrfect for my Fairy terrarium!!!”

“We had a wonderful experience here! We bought some sweaters and a few cute patches. They have stainless steel pet bowls here, as well as leashes, harnesses and other dog gear. Definitely a good place to stop if you're on a budget and want to support a fantastic rescue.”
“This is one of the nicer Goodwill stores in the greater Chicago area. As others have mentioned, it's clean, staff is super helpful, and the items are well organized.
I would like to see the dresses hung by size and not by color but other than that it's a place I'll be coming back to!”

“Overstock is a fun place to loose track of time! Friday is when their new stock comes in and people actually line up to get in!
The staff is friendly, may be a little language barrier but the employees do a really nice job trying to talk to the customer. I have bought several things from overstock and Im glad I do. Don't expect everything to work since it is all Amazon returns but they do have an outlet where you can test the item you want! Majority of the things work fairly.
They also have patio furniture that looks brand new! And other furniture that I have seen people take home!
Overall, overstock is a great place to go and waste time and find the little things you need around the house for cheap than buy it at full price at Amazon.”

“I came from Memphis to Chicago for a family funeral. Wanted to treat myself to boost my spirits and thrifting is one of those ways. I came to this thrift store since it was 6min away from my hotel. Not only is clean, spacious and filled with goodies but the PRICES are amazing. The lady workers are very sweet & made me feel welcomed. I couldn’t believe how many good finds I got from here. “Contrary to the negative perception of this location, I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of the clothes. I got a Forever 21 denim skirt with no tears/damage for 5$ - just make sure to wash the clothes after purchasing and wash your hands as well - but if you are buying clothes, remember to look at the seams and any zippers, etc.”

“Large, well organized and cleaner than some of the other locations I've shopped at. I scored lots of picture frames, some books, a gold sequin cotton top with the original store tags, a glass bowl set, and more. There were an amazing number of high quality women's boots, possibly including some real riding boots.”
