“Did a couple projects at my parents home around the area. I came here for a few items, a few times hahah. In the same day, myself or my mom came here 4 times for parts or tools. We came for outlets, pliers, and some other small miscellaneous electrical related items. Also, Joe at the help desk was extremely helpful. He asked questions that helped me remember my list of supplies, and better understand the project I was working on so he could be of even better assistance. All to say, we got everything done that day, and the Whitmore Ace helped us to do exactly that. Thanks again Joe.”

“My exterior spigot was leaking so I went to to the Lamont Ace hardware and asked them what to do. They told me that I needed to take it apart. Bring it in and more than likely it was a washer. They were exactly correct. We got the right washer. Replaced it and now the spigot no longer leaks. They are awesome at working with each customer's problem in helping them find a solution. Whether it's a screw, a nut, new car keys, you name it, they have a solution for your problem. Thank you so much for your help.”

“Recently was in the shop looking to replace a bathtub faucet stem, and it is a very old style, but Robby knew right away and matched it up with a comparable part, which took a lot of fussing and searching off me!!! This was a huge relief as I needed that part to work right away, and it did! I tried to review this on the Ace website, but why on earth does that option expire in 72 hours???”
“All the employees are quick, helpful and knowledgeable. I brought in a pair of faucet cartridges and before I could say anything he had the correct replacements in hand. The same guy walked me through a dishwasher hookup as well when I was unsure of what PVC parts I needed for it to work. See attached pictures for a before and after.”

“I was truly impressed by Gus and the entire service department. They recently serviced my CMC 83 HD track lift. They performed a very thorough inspection and completed necessary repairs quickly and competently, and at reasonable expense. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Highly recommend them for aerial lift service and repair.

The repair took quite a while—two weeks for a small mirror—but the quality of the work and the price were absolutely amazing. I really appreciate this small business for their excellent craftsmanship. However, I believe they could speed up the process, and I would have been willing to pay extra for faster service. Overall, my experience was good, aside from the lengthy turnaround time.”
“I called ahead to get pizza cutter kit for a birthday present.i was twenty minutes away and was going to be late and call to see it still open and Karl was there and he knew I was coming and said don’t worry I will wait for you. I was only a few minutes late.Thats what i call great service.i have bought several things from Woodcraft and always satisfied.If you work on a wood lathe then woodcraft is the place to go.They always have what I need and extremely helpful. “I visited to get some hornet killer for a larger football sized nest at my home. Jacoby greeted me, and we initially joked a flamethrower may be the best option, but settled for researching items on the shelf that were more readily available. Ortho spray foam worked great for the 1st scary treatment last night, and the less expensive Ace brand spray finished off the remaining flying demons the following morning. Thanks Jacoby!”
“Ebel's has been a staple hardware store in South Elmhurst for decades. Some things may be priced higher than your big warehouse type stores, but what I prefer about Ebel's is there is always an employee easy to find that will assist or direct you to your needs. This is a huge time saving bonus that I appreciate and will likely always pick them over the big warehouse businesses I like to avoid.”
“Contacted Holland Hardware for repair of a damaged dining chair. Because the dining table is pretty old (it was purchased used over 40 years ago) replacing it with a new chair would have required custom building at a high price. Holland was able to repair the split wood, install new dowels to replace the broken ones, and reattach the broken leg to proved a sturdy, solid dining chair.they did this in a timely fashion at a very reasonable cost. we are very pleased with the service.”
