Nicest people in the world. The facility was super clean and well light. Excellent job. They now have another satisfied customer. 15015 US-14, WoodstockThe most friendly place you could ask for! LGBTQ-FRIENDLY!!! So sweet and caring for your pets. They don't make you spend thousands of dollars so your pet can get help. I brought my cat to the emergency room and they wouldn't give him any antibiotics after getting a really bad infection and having a temperature of 106. Shannon eliminate the problem immediately and gave him the correct medication to drop his temperature immediately. It just really makes me sad that so many of these places are only there to collect your money and can care less about your pets ? not this place you can rest assured that Shannon and her helpers are there to help and give you the respect that you would want. Not treat you like a numbers book. I can't thank Shannon enough for the amount of things that she's done for Milo! She has helped Milo out twice now in desperate need of help. She has made my baby feel great and is getting back on his paws. You can definitely rest assure Shannon will do anything in her power to help your animal correctly. I can't thank this place enough for all the help for Milo

Cutting Edge Equine Veterinary
14411 Sunset Ridge Rd, WoodstockI recently used Dr. Nicky for health certifi ates and Coggins in order to move my horses. Was so impressed by herald her assistant. Then on moving day one of my horses was not dealing well in trailer. She went out of her way to drive an hour away, meet my transporter and administer some happy meds to my horse. She followed up with a call to me which set my mind at ease. Thank you doc!!!!

4506 IL-47, WoodstockWe brought two of our dogs there because we had to go out of town the people who would watch our dogs were with us. Never boarding out dogs I was nervous. How could I leave my fur babies with people they didn't know. From my first phone call to Taylor he put me right at ease. You could tell he would treat all of the dogs as his own. We received pictures, video which made a weekend away enjoyable instead of me packing up to head home. Since that time we lost one of our babies Miss Callie. We now need to go out of town in May I called Taylor again when he heard of Callie's passing he was truly sorry not in a way of just sorry for your loss (the typical response)he was truly sorry. Clean place and great care. Will never go anywhere else.

K9 Guidance
15204 Kishwaukee Valley Rd, WoodstockLuis at K9 Guidance is fantastic! He really understands the dogs and has trained us in on how to work with our dogs. There is so much to learn and each week we continue to learn more. Luis is patient with us and explains everything very well and in detail and provides us with corrections to implement in how we handle our dogs. The sessions are never repetitive nor is the entire class spent focusing on one thing. The variety keeps both us and the dogs engaged. We have a 4 year old German Shepherd and added a German shepherd puppy a few months back. We started our puppy in Luis group puppy class. His behavior within a week was better than our 4 year old which led us to doing training sessions for both dogs. Our 4 year old is reactive and within the first session he had her focused on and not the other dog. Luis has taught us the value of consistency, the benefit of showing leadership and the importance of rewarding for positive behaviors. We have been to a few trainers over the years but have not seen the improvement and gave up on our 4 year old being able to tolerate other dogs. Instead we just adjusted our lives around our dog’s behavior and avoided interacting with other dogs. With K9 Guidance we have learned how to adjust and correct the unpleasant behavior versus our lifestyle. Both dogs are extremely excited as soon as we get to training as they love the stimulation. I would give K9 Guidance 10 stars but Google only allows a max of 5. Thank you K9 Guidance!

101 E Church St, WoodstockThis is the best bar to go to in downtown Woodstock, the atmosphere is so incredible it’s cozy, it’s welcoming, it’s fun! The outdoor heating under the awning was amazing. I recently had my wedding here and the owners went above and beyond to make sure my day was perfect! They are such kind and considerate people and helped us out so so much! Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with. Tammy was so sweet and caring and even took some pictures for us during setup!
Ryan was just the absolute best seriously so helpful easy to communicate with and just ready for anything I asked him. The staff they have are all also super friendly and willing to help me out with anything I needed. They were just on it the whole night! Wasn’t stressed at all!
Ps the ice cream shots are bomb! Get the ice cream shots!

236 Main St, WoodstockThis cafe is amazing, my wife and I had the best sub I've ever had, seriously, ever -- it's called "The Don," essentially an Italian sub. The meats, veggies and cheese and peppers and the bread is a definite wow! It comes with kettle chips and a pickle too. Several customers purchased coffee drinks, lattes and what not. which had an equally excellent look and smell to them. Excellent rustic look with the brick walls and tiles. I can't wait to come back!

Porkies Pig Roast & Catering
2245 S Eastwood Dr, WoodstockThis review is about a month late. But I cannot say enough INCREDIBLE things about Porkie's! Mitch, Jodi, and Patch are AMAZING humans. They made us feel like we were at home and part of the family as soon as we arrived. They were welcoming, kind and super generous.
My partner and I took my dad out for lunch, and none of us were disappointed. Everything we ate was delicious and hugely portioned. The Cubano was giant and tasty. The pulled chicken was moist, tender and delicious. And their sauces need to be bottled and sold. We all appreciated that we were able to sauce our own items. It also gave us the opportunity to try the meats before saucing them, and again, they were so delicious.
Make sure to try the pig wings, slaw (both were great, and the spicy was our favorite!), and corn bread. And I *hope* the eggplant fries wind up making the menu because those were absolutely delightful!! Thank you for an awesome experience - we cannot wait to come back!
And for those reading... RUN to go try their food.

In addition, there was a great tour, a tack shop that has a wide variety of items ( I do not know if they sell Westernsaddles) and they teach you about the horses and maintenance necessary to farm and horses. They do great work taking in horses from owners who can no longer care for them or horses who are pr have been neglected or abused. They even had a blind horse, and another horse, who is her " seeing eye," guide animal.

2500 Harding Ln, WoodstockMy nephew Carlton came from this shelter. They are thorough with their adoptions and I think that's a really good thing. It's best to have the patience to make sure (as much as you can)that the dogs and cats will go to a good home.
