“Very convenient and prices are not too crazy for this type of store. The parking lot is small and sometimes a little difficult to maneuver in a longer vehicle, but there is enough room to park.”
“If been coming to Welch's Stop and shop for decades. Always had a great experience. Excellent selection of Meats and Deli items. Their fresh polish sausage is amazing and a favorite during the holidays. For Thanksgiving and Christmas you can order a fresh unfrozen turkey.
Employees are friendly and the store is clean with plenty of parking. During the warmer months on Saturdays they have a lunch cook out in the parking lot.
I love the smell when I first walk in. Reminds me of when I would take my mother there so she could shop. Great memories.

“What a delightful place! We came in on a weekday and the pace was relaxed and festive (with beautiful Polish Christmas items for sale), lusciously-scented (reminding me of European restaurants or kitchens), immaculately clean, with kind and gracious staff. We just browsed around, picking a poppy seed loaf (not as sweet as those made by American bakeries, but rich, substantial, perfect for coffee) and a marzipan to take home. And speaking of coffee, next to the beautiful deli is a corner with coffee and cookies for customers. Wandering the aisles was a treat, too. While a lot of the items are in Polish, the labels also have English translation. Such a fantastic array off ingredients and goodies! I'll have to come back to truly grocery shop here. In our culture of cookie-cutter franchises, Carpathia offers us another beautiful option. I'm grateful to have such a grocery story/deli in our area and wish them the very best!”

“What a surprising treasure! They have a wide selection of cheese and groceries that are unavailable at traditional grocery stores. The tastiest cheese to crumble over salad is Bulgarian white cheese in brine. My son loves the Milka chocolate.”

“Don Mike is always very kind and helpful, he takes pride in everything he does. Always wants his customers to leave happy and with the freshest food! Last time I sent my fiancé to get some guacamole for some tacos and he came home so excited to have it as an appetizer because he said Don Mike made it from scratch right in front of him! A must try! The meat is always fresh here and I love that he even carries Mexican clay kitchenware and other authentic Mexican items that you normally can’t find in regular stores.”

The front of house team is amazing and go above and beyond to help. It's like an upscale kroger but not as expensive as whole foods if that makes sense. I wish there was one in my area, I usually go to Valpo, Chesterton, or Cedar Lake stores when I'm in the area. Great store!!”

The people that own the store are beyond kind and helpful I honestly think most Americans feel this sort of thing entitlement and feel that there is super special and everyone should drop everything to take care of them.
