“Thank you to Carolynn! She went above and beyond helping me get a bday gift for a friend. She was very busy unboxing the new merch and stopped to help me look for a specific item. She checked the back and even opened up new boxes. She was pleasant the whole time even though they just got a big truck in. Me and my friend really appreciate her going out of her way!”
“It is a small location with limited selection compared to other Macy's stores that I am accustomed to, but much better service. Product selection is smaller, but what was there was nice”
“Let me set the scene:
during the power outage of the Gary Derecho of '26, we placed my dad into a nursing home (dimentia). I was out of power for 13 days... today was 14 days after the storm, and I needed to get some groceries back in my fridge so my little girl can have what she needs at my house (today, we found out she has covid, btw).
So when I drove from Gary to Chicago at 7pm to drop her off so I could be back to Highland to pick up my groceries between 8-9, I had already been having a really rough month.
After 2 stops to put air in my tire (because the first machine didn't work) and an unplanned run to Jewel because there was no Tylenol at my partner's house, I was running late and going to miss the 9pm cut off for order pick up.
Kayleigh called me about 8:50 pm to see if I would make the 9pm window, and I said that I wasn't. I asked what happens next, and she told me that she would wait for me. Told me to come inside and she'd help me load my order into a cart so that I could still have it tonight.
When I got here, that's exactly what happened.
To Kayleigh's manager, and the general manager of this location, this is the type of service that should be rewarded and promoted.
Yes, it's annoying when people are late. And yes, many people don't appreciate extra kindnesses and courtesies when they're extended, so it can be hard to go out of your way for people not knowing that they even acknowledge your presence. But, I've been in a really REALLY rough patch, and Kayleigh's kindness tonight healed me a little bit.
So, Kayleigh, keep being you. And thank you. More Kayleighs in customer service positions. And management, give that girl a raise. And value her opinion about what you could improve.”
“We just had a great experience here. They changed their policy so that there are limits on how many collectors cards can be bought at one time, so my nine-year-old was actually able to buy a small pack of Pokémon cards for the first time in a long while! Everything is always sold out everywhere. The man at the customer service counter was incredibly kind and friendly. Thank you for helping us out!”
“I was in your store and was helped by an employee named Marcia. She was wonderful! She went out of her way to be helpful, courteous, and kind.Best customer service interaction I've had in a long time.”
