“I went to the Ames, Iowa location for the first time and Mr. Aaron was helping me out. He introduced the 11 cent off per gallon of gas deal which, as a college student, has been very helpful to me. In addition, Mr. Aaron walked me through the different types of coffee that Mega Saver offers, as well as how to operate the coffee machines since I have never done that before. Truly a gentleman, Mr. Aaron makes my experience a pleasant one every time I visit, either for gasoline or coffee, thanks to his cheerful attitude and his readiness to help his customers. The store is quite different on the inside when compared to the others that look like this style in the fountain/coffee area is right next to the kitchen like a Casey’s. Normally, the fountain is just on the right side of the store and the kitchen is on the middle at the newer stores. I got a 44oz fountain drink, 2 slices of sausage pizza, & some Trident Gum (Spearment). The total with tax came to 9.39. The cashier was very nice and friendly. The store was very clean & organized. I stock up in the candy isle I get gag gifts and weird decor in the seasonal aisle I get gift exchange items in the as seen on tv section I get birthday party items for kids by walking the store And, oh yeah, deodorant, floss, cleaning supplies, camping last minute things like wet wipes. All of those purchases where I am too lazy to zig zag back and forth at a bigger store, I can get here in a quarter of the time. My time matters. I can buy milk and snacks and beverages and bandaids. The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
