“Cedar Falls can get a bit desperate for a vegan — NG to the rescue. The only store in town with multiple reliably stocked vegan proteins (tofu, tempeh, Kite Hill Greek Yogurt, Abbots, Field Roast products, vegan protein powders, and more) and other vegan essentials. It may be a bit pricier than other shops, but the quality is high, and they are trustworthy. They have water for refillable containers, for anyone not interested in drinking Iowa tap. NG also has a loyalty program and sales, so you shop smartly. Updated from previous review on 2026-05-21”

“When an elderly person using a cane tells the person sacking the groceries to NOT make the bags very heavy because they have to carry them in and there are five bags and four are packed very heavy. When she put them in the car I could tell by the way she lifted them that those bags were going to be heavy for me to carry into my house. Next time I will grab extra bags on my way out so I can downsize them to carry them in. I like Fareway but there is no need to pack the bags that heavy for anyone.”

“There was a mix-up with a product placed in a spot it didn't belong that I bought and I explained what happened to the assistant manager Crystal and she took care of everything for me didn't argue with me just gave me excellent service. Very impressed as I am in customer service myself and it is refreshing to see someone else treat people the way I treat people. Five stars 10 out of 10 repeat customers for life.”
“I usually pop in here at least once a Cedar Falls visit. This is the only place my sister buys milk and cream. But, there's so much more to browse through here: coffee from local roasters, homemade baked goods, cheeses, farm-raised meat, maple syrup, Iowa wine..... I was so surprised by the wine packs (like adult juice packs). Some were more than portable and included a lanyard. Fun place. Reserving five stars for when I try their ice cream.”

“Great pricing and selection in every department. There's not enough front-end help (cashier's). Only one belt register open and crazy long self checkout lines. I'd you don't mind a wait it's worth the trip saves you on groceries.”

“A great place to do a grocery shopping With a great meat counter. They do a good job bagging your groceries and putting them in the cart and they walk it out to your car and load it up. A full service grocery store. Just like in the old days I love it.”
