“Great experience today. Took my puppy. The manager was warm and welcoming. The manager went above and beyond. She was wonderful at customer service and my puppy. My puppy loves the store but got too excited. The staff was very helpful. Again the manager was amazing. She is a great person.”
“I do like this store but I don't like the fact they removed the far end doors as it was convenient......but I'm sure it was about controlling theft. Nice section of items all the way around!”

“I like this store but limit my visits to a couple a year unless I’m looking for something in particular. Recently I’ve noticed an abundance of items, so much so it feels like too much for the size of the store and products sitting on carts with no place to go. The clearance section really should be a half off of more section because 9x out of 10 the items are broken beyond use or repair and should really just be thrown away. Good finds for decent prices. I wish some of the art and mirrors weren’t $150 + because the quality really isn’t worth that. Some of the furniture is decent but others are poor quality for high prices. If anything it’s more for gifty items and decor that you won’t feel guilty for donating or reselling in a couple years when you want to change a theme. The Ames store is a much better size with more selection!
They have Jim Shore now! Seems more expensive than online though and I saw one that wasn’t in the locked cabinet that was broken in 3 places and was only discounted $5. I should have taken a picture!”

“This is my preferred TJ Maxx. The shelves are stocked and employees are very busy working to organize. Now if we could only do something about the parking lot, it is extremely dangerous and an accident waiting to happen.”
“Had a vision in mind for heels and a dress for my masters graduation and found both here on my first try. Also a pant suit for an upcoming gala. Staff was kind and helpful and store was well organized.”
“Target Merle Hay is a-ok. Smaller version of the "super" Target that is only 5 min away. The layout of this location is different from the rest. It's also located and attached to the mall. Grocery can be found here. This location had some items in stock that others would be fully stocked. Nice collection of everything that a larger store would have: Opalhouse, Hearth and Hand, seasonal clothing brands, vegan items, electronics, bikes. I can tell they stock less of the items due to space. Service is ok. I tend to see same cashiers and customer service managers. I hardly come here but I have found that if other locations are out of something, I can find it here via Target app. Drive up pick up is offered here. Parking lot can be crazy. Layout is similar to others in DSM but just smaller.”
“Such a nice store kept clean and tidy. The fragrance area is to the forward of the store. As you go through the doors, oh my gosh so nice smelling when you enter.”
“One of my favorite places to shop. Employees are always nice, helpful, and smiling. Selection is always wonderful. The live piano music puts a relaxing spin to the shopping experience.”

“It’s part of the TJ Maxx companies which I love. They have very similar items to TJ Maxx. Sometimes if I can’t find an item I saw at TJ Maxx, I go to Marshall’s to see if they have the item I want. They have unique and interesting products. They sell clothing, shoes, bedding, towels, kitchen wares, gift supplies and luggage. If you find something you like, better buy it. It won’t be there when you come back. I never go to the mall anymore.”
“Always happy with the service I get when I come to Zumiez. Just the other day I went in for an exchange and I got personal assistance looking for what I needed. Very helpful and always friendly, makes my day everytime I go in there.”
“I want their shopping and I did find what I needed but I did talk to wonder the floor girls and she was very very nice in a she told me to call time to time to see if I can get the I am which I wish to buy so it was a great experience I recommend anyone go on there”

“Plenty of winter clothing brand names at low prices. Went in looking for a new winter headband and came out with a Michael Kors Knitted headband for $14.99. No flaws.”
“Went in for a bra fitting, and my experience exceeded any fitting I've ever had. Hannah was so helpful, and made me comfortable the entire process. She also went out of her way to find me a second bra in my size, as well as offering to get me one on order. She cared more about what would be comfortable for me rather than selling the highest dollar item.”
“Efficient, professional and great selections. Clothing is great quality and selections. Groceries are cheaper than Walmart, Fareway, Price Chopper and especially Hy-Vee. Electronic section always has what I am looking for. Tvs, video games, gaming accessories, laptops, phones, stereos, records galore......you name Target has it!”
“I needed to order an item that was no longer in stocks at the store location. Last time I did that, there were kiosks that you placed your order on! I went to customer service and the supervisory gal helped me get my order placed on my smartphone & I was able to use my gift card balance before finding out the total I needed to pay! Easy, peasy!! Now I know how to do it going forward. Thank you!”
“Something for everyone. Various sizes. Racks are confusing and very disorganized but its like a treasure hunt. You never know what you will find. Some items are cheap some are over priced.”
“You will find a large variety of affordable plants, flowers, trees & shrubs as well as all things gardening & patio. Make sure to check the discounted items you can find plants & flowers at half/price. Great way to fill garden beds & containers on a budget.”
“This is becoming my go to location more and more. I live closer to the Windsor Heights store, but it's been going downhill quickly. After the revamp of the floor and shelving I was hoping the Windsor Heights location was going to be better. Nope. The West Des Moines location is consistently clean, well organized, and well stocked. It definitely makes the few more mile drive worth it. Kind of sad that I'd rather drive to this store or Grimes than to do business with the one closest to my home.”
