“I had such a blast looking through the racks here and found some incredible deals on designer clothes that I usually see for way higher prices. The store was really well-organized, so even though there were a lot of items to look at, it didn't feel overwhelming to find my size in the jeans and jackets section. I ended up finding a pair of high-quality boots and a really soft sweater that I know I will wear all the time. The checkout line moved surprisingly fast for a busy Saturday, and the staff was very polite and wrapped everything up carefully. It is definitely my favorite spot to go when I want to update my wardrobe without spending a fortune.”

“I’ve been a “maxxinista”since they opened over 20 years ago. Can always find interesting things here from clothes to shoes, food to pet supplies and bedding to kitchen wares. Most of their stock is past season or overstock but I always find something I need/want. It’s not often I leave without finding something. It’s usually a pretty busy place. I’m glad there are three stores in Des Moines area. Each store has a little bit different items. It’s never the same thing twice. If you see something you like, buy it. Odds are it won’t be there when you come back.”
“Von Maur has been my favorite store for more than 30 years. You will NEVER find better service than what you get at Von Maur. Their credit card service is top notch, as well as their gift wrapping. I love everything about Von Maur.”

“It’s part of the TJ Maxx companies which I love. They have very similar items to TJ Maxx. Sometimes if I can’t find an item I saw at TJ Maxx, I go to Marshall’s to see if they have the item I want. They have unique and interesting products. They sell clothing, shoes, bedding, towels, kitchen wares, gift supplies and luggage. If you find something you like, better buy it. It won’t be there when you come back. I never go to the mall anymore.”

“This is becoming my go to location more and more. I live closer to the Windsor Heights store, but it's been going downhill quickly. After the revamp of the floor and shelving I was hoping the Windsor Heights location was going to be better. Nope. The West Des Moines location is consistently clean, well organized, and well stocked. It definitely makes the few more mile drive worth it. Kind of sad that I'd rather drive to this store or Grimes than to do business with the one closest to my home.”
“Needed a dress for a wedding, shoped other named brand stores with no success finding the right one. Called my daughter in law in a panic and she said she found one at JC Penneys @ Valley West Mall, West Des Moines. Problem solved! Found the right dress at a sale price and even found a sweater on clearance for $11.50. The store and dressing rooms were clean and all the sales associates were very kind when I asked for help locating items and checking out. If your looking for quality clothes look at JC Penny's first, you won't be disappointed. Thank you JC Penny's!”
“I needed to order an item that was no longer in stocks at the store location. Last time I did that, there were kiosks that you placed your order on! I went to customer service and the supervisory gal helped me get my order placed on my smartphone & I was able to use my gift card balance before finding out the total I needed to pay! Easy, peasy!! “This is quite a large Target store with everything you may need. I managed to get what I went there for and noticed they had a good variety. I am new to the States, but did notice they had a lot of things for Halloween which is coming up next month. There is also plenty of free parking available.”
“Great selection of men's fragrances. The only issue i had was the employees begging me to smell the new Valentino fragrance. 3 different ladies behind the counter came over to me and asked if wanted to smell it. Overall reasonable prices and a good selection👍”
