“I needed dog food and was on my way back from Ankeny so I stopped to see if Huxley's. Store had the brand I buy. I was extremely happy to see they had it and it was cheaper than Wal-mart in Ames where I normally buy it but dislike going there because too many people are there running around without masks. Thanks DG for being a great store with great people who took the time to help me find the things I needed.”

“With grocery prices through the roof elsewhere, aldis still has quality products at pre-pandemic prices. Personally i love that there is less options so i don't have to think too hard about which to grab. Only complaint is that they have automated ordering so when the students leave the fruit and veg sits for a few weeks with replenishment and when the students return things are gone for a while.”
“We moved from Slater in 1986 BUT every chance we get to come back to the area we stop in and buy the dried beef !! Love the meat counter. You can’t beat the quality!!!”

“I visit regularly. Staff is always very nice and welcoming, they have a good selection of most things. They don't have many fresh vegetables, but they have a lot of dried goods, spices, seasonings, sauces, dried noodles, prepackaged food, drinks, and frozen goods. I love the location as it's easy to get what I need while shopping for fresh meat, vegetables, and fruit at the other nearby stores. Another stand out feature is that they regularly get new frozen food like dumplings, bao, and ice cream that I love to try.”

“This place is smaller than some that I've been to but they had EVERYTHING you could want! They had green tea Kit Kats which are hard to find. I was so exited for find kimchi, endless types of dumplings and ramen, plus everything I needed to make pho from scratch! So excited I found this place and get creative with dinners.”
“Nice supermarket, organized, fair prices. But there is only one egg brand, which is Hy-Vee, and it is quite expensive. All the male employees greet you cheerfully and say good morning with a smile. However, all the female employees seem to be angry.”

“Mrs Ann was great help , i am an old Marine and i have broken both arms and wrists several times , and i can not turn a cap to open a soda or tea , Mrs Ann was so helpfull at opening my tea for me , that is great customer service and she deserves a raise or at least a lunch meal for going above and helping an injured Marine veteran with disabilities”

“I'm very thankful we have such a great asian food store in our community. Not only do they have great dry and frozen goods, they also have a very nice selection of fresh vegetables, tofu, and meat. I can always find everything I'm looking for. They also get in very fun ice cream treat sometimes which I love to try and makes the shopping experience not only convenient, but something I actually look forward to.”

“I stopped at this fareway for the 1st time today. The gentleman at the meat counter was friendly and professional. He even labeled the packaging of my stuffed mushrooms that indicated which side of the packaging was the top. This is helpful so that they remain intact. The staff members that helped me with check out were kind, and bagged my items with thoughtfulness and kept my stuffed mushrooms right side up! It’s the little things sometimes that can make a big difference. I’ll definitely be going there again.”
