I haven’t ever had an unpleasant experience with staff. And when there was an issue with my pick up order Johnny not only caught the problem before coming out to my car but also fixed the problem he found before coming out with my pick up order.     “This Target is right in the center of Downtown Iowa City. It's of course smaller than its suburban siblings, but it packs a lot of inventory in its 2 floors. The extended hours also accents the overall convenience of this place. The first floor is heavy on groceries, including a generous selection of beer and wine. That's a good thing for folks like me who took a bottle of wine back to my hotel room. Ditto for over 21 students and folks who live in the neighborhood or are visitors. They do card everyone, and I enjoyed the comment from a Target team member who had never seen a Nevada driver's license before.The 2nd floor is more household sundries, clothing, and other goods targeted towards more every day shopping.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
