“We absolutely LOVE this place! We drive up from Ames, about 15 minutes or so at least once a week if not more. Very wide variety and all locally produced! Everything is so fresh and tastes so amazing it keeps us coming back every year for the season. We have actually stopped shopping at grocery stores in town for our produce and come to Slim's. They also have a small selection of meats, cheeses and milks and the milk is amazing and also from a local farm in Iowa. We also stopped buying A&E and started buying Picket Fence Creamery milk. 1,000% recommend the change! Support local, help your local farmers and eat amazing food at the same time! We will continue going until we can't anymore. I will recommend this place to everyone who asks for a new place to check out!”

I never stopped into a Fareway before. I live in California and we don't have Fareway stores. Since I was spending the night in town I figured I'd check it out. The store was very clean, organized, stocked well and brightly lit and I found it impressive. Also, the staff seemed reasonably nice but transactional.

I would stop at one again.”

“Today stopped in to our Dollar Store in Story City and we had a very pleasant experience. The last several workers never got the shelves stocked or cleaned, we then drove to other towns to shop. Today Aisle we passable, shelves stocked and clean environment. I complimented the manager and 2 workers and checked out with over $100.”
